Here's the baby sock corsage I made last night!

I had to strip some leftover silk flowers I had to make the leaves, but otherwise this was a really fun, easy project. I like that you can see "Old Navy 0-3 months" on the the blue rose. Another friend is having a (girl) baby shower next week, so I'm going to make a pink one next.

PS: Here's a card I made to match (uh, kinda)

I made these two Japanese street fashion inspired rings out of some of the left over sequins and beads I've amassed (I have tons of both).

The top ring is a cluster ring that I made by stringing beads and sequins onto wire (closing off the wire by making a tiny loop with plyers) and then wrapping the wire onto a ring blank. The lower ring I made by affixing an arrangement of sequins to the botton of a clear glass half marble and then affixing to a ring blank.

....what are you waiting for? )

Well. Me and my fiancee are *finally* getting our own apartment, and I finally have freedom to decorate everything and anything the way that WE want to. So, I was originally intending on making this:

http://www.backseatkiss.com/pt.html

It's a condom robot. BUT, it is impossible to find condoms that are in a 'strip' that allow me to 'rip' them which is what I would need for this. He just bought about a million condoms in bulk, and I need a way to 'present' them in my apartment in a cool way...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and pictures of the final project are promised :0)

X-Posted to Craftster.

Rad(ishes)!

Hello fellow crafters,
I was given a whole stack of embroidery hoops.
I took out what I think I’d need, but there are still so many to do *something* with.
Any ideas of what that something could be?

First thought was to stack them and glue them like-a-so... )

Stanky Lace

Hey folks,
I just bought a crateload of lace remnants on eBay and, upon giddily opening the bag, the sweet, strong and horrifying scent of smoke knocked me on my ass. I've never had much luck washing the smoke scent out of fabric (and I've never encountered anything *this* saturated) so I'm afraid my usual 1 wash run-through is not going to do it. Any tips?

Thanks in advance.

Now, I'm going to go sit this stuff outside and hope to God my eyes stop burning soon.

How would I go about doing this to my jeans?

I want to make frayed holes (bigger than those) on my pants so that my way awesome zebra tights show underneath.

Tips would be appreciated!!

Hi there!

I'm a knitter, and also and RA at my college. Well, I want to put together a program for knitting for my residents. I want to teach those who don't already know how to knit, how to, and then have them make 7x7in squares for a blanket for charity. The program will be called Knit You Bit, like the slogan from WWII era signs. The trouble is, I need an idea for a quick-to-make invite. The only thing they cannot be is a boring 81/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I was thinking the generic cut out a swearer from paper, but does anyone have an cute ideas? I'll need to make 26 of them.

Thanks in advance!!!

Yay, I made a clutch. Made out of fabric in a scrap bag I got from the store and a zipper that I cannabilized a flimsy plastic pencil case for. It's going to be sent to my sister and it'll be filled with assorted goodies.

- what it (unglamourously) looks like.

And for the rest of the pictures.. )

What is the best method to paint itsy bitsy letters onto an object? I'll have to look around to see if I have a small enough brush, but I don't think I have one very tiny. I'm paining some letters on a bead, so there is limited space.

Any suggestions?

TIA :)

i know most of you make jewelry so im hoping you can help me out..(feel free to delete if im off topic)

i borrowed my sisters dangly earrings a couple days ago and i left them in my bag with my lip gloss. the lip gloss leaked and now the earrings are all sticky with a layer of lip gloss all over them. they've got a whole bunch of dangling things on them so i thought if i soaked it in water it would kind of clean itself...but that didn't do anything. So, help! what do i do?

..i also got crimping pliers as a gift cause im starting to make my own jewelry...now what kind of things can i do with it? what am I suppose to crimp?
