A while back, I posted a project that was a result of a total impulse purchase from Wal Mart. It was a tote bag and I asked for feedback on how to finish it, and if it was even worth finishing in the first place. First of all, thanks so much for all the feedback I got from you great internet peoples. There were so many good ideas. This community is definitely where all the cool kids hang!

Anyway, I finally finished the bag and I thought I'd show the results...

Embroidery hoops hate me. )

I have to say, I'm pretty satisfied with it. Plus, I already have an idea for another one!

Yesterday I spent all day working on my wedding invites! I am very excited! [Ill be making small changes to the good copies, im just too lazy to change these screen captures]

Please tell me what you think!

I will be using brown diagonal pocketfold invites like this one. Only from less thick paper, and I am making them myself

hey again all. so (as you may already know), me and my mom are doing a craft fair this weekend. we're selling a range of glass/jewelry products. what i want to know is, for craft fairs, do people actually bring enough cash to buy more expensive items? some of my stuff is in the $50-70 range. what is your experience with this? do you take personal cheques? have a credit card setup? (i don't intend to do the credit card setup anytime in the near future, and i'm not sure whether personal cheques are a good idea).

so, i'd love input on this! thanks in advance.

so it isn't text only, here are some of my latest creations. i know, i've been beading like crazy - because of the upcoming craft fair! last night i stayed up till 2 am stringing things, and didn't even realize how late it was until i was done and looked at the clock...

lampwork beads, sterling silver bali beads, rose quartz & clear quartz chips, hematite, swarovski crystals... )

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I just recently finished a bunch of earrings and felt like showing them off. They're not terribly complicated, but I love them:

Three collages. I made the first and the other two were made by my crafty mother :)

Does anyone know any good websites to order custom woven labels?

I planned on ordering from namemaker.com, but they haven't gotten in touch with me. Then I tried lusciouslabels.com b/c I had talked to someone from there before and I haven't heard from them either! So I was wondering if you guys had any other good websites to offer!

I'm a huge White Sox fan. Always have been, always will be. Made these out of guitar picks and sticker paper. No, I'm not selling them, and I don't own the white sox logo, so I can't be sued :)

I made some shirts for me, and one for my sister. These were the first shirts I ever made using freezer paper and I was pretty impressed with how easy they were to make and how well they turned out.

As you may remember, about a week ago I posted asking for help with a little sculpey version of "Horror" from the movie "The PageMaster".
Anyways, I just finished (and burnt) him.
He looks cute.
Dispite the burns on the side.

Hi, all! I've got a question - a friend of mine is in a band (http://www.bedlambards.com), and he and his partner have bought some raffia fans for their fans (get it? Yeah, yeah, yeah...) to use when the sun outside just gets too darn hot. They're trying to paint their logo on the fans, but spray paint and a stencil doesn't work, since the fans have an uneven surface. I'm thinking hand painting might be the way to go, but they have to paint 288 of them. The stencil is made from card stock, by the way.

You can see the fans here - http://www.orientaltrading.com/ - do a search for 10" COLORED RAFFIA FANS.

Does anyone have any ideas on a quick yet accurate way of painting these things? Thanks!
