I bought the generic hobby lobby earring posts and found that a lot of them break. Sometimes it was my glue but quite a few of them the post actually broke off of it's base. So I am now investing in jewelry findings online. I read on crafster I think, that https://www.rings-things.com was good. But I thought if I could find the kind of posts that are rough on the back instead of plain flat, that it would be easier to glue them securely. Only I am unsure what this is called, where to find it, or if to trust that place when found. :( Do any of you have experience with this??

Not too long ago a girl posted an octopus necklace here, and some one asked her where she found the charm, I thought I had saved the link to the site where the charm was from but now I can’t find it, If anyone might have it I would love to know. Thanks.

I have several of those prefab shelves you can get pretty much anywhere (I got mine at Wal-mart). I have a very crafty idea to make them less boring and white, but am not sure how to go about prepping them. What do I need to do to them to get them ready to paint? Is there a special paint for that laminate kind of material?

Thanks in advance for the info. I figured you ladies would know just what to do! :D

First time poster! I decided to share some of my crafts with you. I am kind of a flighty crafter haha Meaning that I move from craft to craft quickly, usually without finishing the last. But here are two that I did actually finish. The first picture are of some really cheap ugly looking planting pots from walmart that I painted up to add some color to my apartment and the second picture is of a mural I did for a set construction class at my Univeristy ( I am a theatre design major) It is made out of mdf, jigsawed out and painted with normal acrylics. Pics under cut ----->

This is my first post, but I am not a first time crafter!
I started knitting but gave it up early on. Then I started crochet, then cross-stitch and, finally, my mum got me a sewing machine about two years ago, which is my pride and joy.

Without further ado, my latest creation. )

Yarn born from scrap, from leftovers from like man born from dust. Good times.
(some furry, some reflective, some shiny, some more uniform, some all over the place, all tasty and kinda cool, and mega original, because I don't do things twice. :-)

More pics behind the cut! )

Does anyone know of a good program that I can use to convert photos/images to cross stitch charts? I'd prefer a program for the PC rather than something on the web, but even a web program would be fine.

Here's my latest completed work:

Normally I embroider most of my gifts, but I didn't have enough time before the baby shower to do so. So I bought some fabric paint and had lots of fun. I bundled them up in colorful tissue paper, tied with twine, and put them in a bright red bucket with some other baby gifts. I wish I would have taken a picture of the completed project with my own gift tag, but I forgot to. Anyways, take a look at my new stuff!
