Hi All. So this is my first time to try screen printing and stenciling.

My collection of long necklaces and chunky bangles has grown so that hanging them over my shelfs little posts doesn't work anymore.
I know I could easily bang a few nails into a piece of wood for the necklaces, but how the heck do I keep my bangles all together?
I kind of want ONE little unit for it all, I have a really really nice jewlery box, but the long necklaces don't fit and the bangles are too "tall."
Any ideas crafty ladies?

Hi! My name's Michelle and I've been lurking around this community for a little while and I must say, I'm quite impressed with everything y'alls make! Unfortunately I have no cool finished projects (or cool projects for that matter), so no photos yet. :P

I do have (many) questions that I was hoping someone could help me with. I've looked around various sites, and in the FAQ/Memories section of this community but couldn't really find anything that was helpful...

The background info if you need it )

So essentially, these are my questions:
  1. Would you recommend tie-dyeing with bleach? If not, do you have any alternative ideas to making a snazzy team shirt for cheap? And wouldn't take longer than a couple of hours? (And not just using iron-on letters 'cause we already did that)
  2. If you’ve used bleach to make designs (specifically tie-dyed using bleach, if possible), how exactly did you do it? Did it come out well?
  3. Will bleach tie-dying still work if we use the Jerzees cotton/polyester blend t-shirts? Or should we find some kind of different material?
  4. Would vinegar work for a neutralizer, or should we buy an “official” neutralizer from a craft store?
  5. Would it be possible to use duct-tape on the shirts before we bleached them, in order to write our team name so that after we’re done bleaching, the name shows through? Or should we use something else? Like that paraffin stuff sometimes used during dyeing?
  6. If all else fails, how can we make the dye from the store darker? Using more dye doesn’t really help, either.
Sorry for the long post, but thanks for taking the time to read this and also for your help!

These earrings were created from sterling silver head pins, wire and chain, sterling silver and garnet earposts, 4 mm jet opaque and garnet and 8 mm garnet Swarovski crystals. They were made with three posts to be worn in triple-pierced lobes.

I've wanted Sheep pins since I'm a handspinner and had put it on the backburner for a while until one day I got an obsessive "I want a pin of Traum with a sheep!" so drew it out, got it done and decided I MUST make more.

So far I only have 2 brindle Cardis, and a red Pem done and finished but I have more colors in the works, and even plans for other breeds (Like GSDs and Shelties) too.

2 Corgi pins with cute sheep )

I have an art show later this month and plan on also making designs like this with 2 sheep for the sheep fans out there. Around this area there are a few sheep farmers, and a handful of fellow handspinners!

I'm also working on drawing out a cow for designs like these... I was surprised when I drew this out all in one seating on the first try as I'd NEVER tried to draw sheep before in my life. Cows are showing to be harder to make in the simple whimsical shapes and still be obvious what they are! I think Corgwn, and ACDs with cows would be cute too :)

So, I started a DS case for my little brother and it's coming along ok. I'll be sure to post pictures when it's done.

I have a lot of puzzles with missing pieces. What could I do with them?

I am going to be making my own ring, and I was wondering what the name of the tool is, that makes the rings round?

Can I just use a mandrel?

Thanks!

i am lookinf for a felting needle. the problem is that i cannont find one. Michael's doens't have them and i got a very rude look when i asked an employee at the store. northwest ohio's own re-enacting shop does not have them either. so where, my fellow crafters does one purchase a felting needle?

envelopes

Lately I've been feeling completely miserable and unmotivated until yesterday when all of a sudden I snapped out of it and got crafty :) I made some envelopes! It's not much but it got me thinking again! This is only my second post here and I know it's definitly not up to the same standard as most members, but last time I posted I got a bit of harsh and unconstructive criticism from someone which kind of scared me away for a while. I know they aren't the most fantastic of crafts, but please don't just be mean for the heck of it!
