I got really tired of the laptop bag I made last week really fast... I guess I just didn't like the way it sat when I carried it... hmm. But I feel bad for abandoning it so I might give it to someone or sell it.

Anyway I made a new one last night )

I also had a lot of fun with this shirt. I got it from thinkgeek.com and accidentally ruined it with bleach (like the blue Rey Mysterio one I think I showed here before)... so I "tie dyed" it. I think this one turned out a lot better than the first one.

Yay for geeky clothes )

EDIT: I also had a question and I'd feel guilty making a double post... so completely unrelated, but I want to make myself a shower cap because I'm tired of relying on those cheapo hotel ones that fall apart after a couple weeks. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of this http://www.sopretty.com.au/products/golden_leaves_gold/144/1 except not quite as fancy). Anyway the problem is that I have no idea what material to use. Obviously it has to be some sort of plasticy type thing so that the water cannot get through, but what is this called? I have been looking online for the perfect material but it is kind of hard to do when I have no idea what the name of it is. Thanks!

.. But does anyone know of an online tutorial (or can make-up one of the top of its head) for the making of a sailor hat? You know,

I've wanted to get one for a while, but thought it could be cooler to make one by myself. only I'm not so sure where should I begin. Help, anyone?

Help! Like many of you I'm sure, I've acquired quite the scarf collection over the years. Between my obsession with buying them, my limited knitting skills, and the fact that I go to college in a frozen tundra (Ithaca), I must have somewhere around 30-40 scarves of different materials and styles.

I don't want to stuff my beauties in a drawer anymore...I would like them to be "on display" and organized without taking up too much space.

Does anyone have any cute, efficient ideas?

If this isn't related, delete.

I decorated these hotties after the Beatles album Revolver. It started out as just paint but then I realized how much easier it was with an ultra-fine point Sharpie.

Hey, this is my first time posting -- long time admirer.

If you'd be so kind as to let me know what you think, if they are something sell-worthy, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Hugs!

So, my friends are getting married in early August. They said they didn't want gifts, but that's not going to stop me! ^_^

I figure they meant "We don't need 50 toaster and a fondue pot."

So, I making them a set of coasters. These coasters will have all of the things that remind me(and some of their other friends) of them.

It's really basic, cork with paper podged on, and then the images.

This was my first time using Modge Podge, and after I finished the prototype I thought "Hey, Modge Podge = waterbased, therefore sweaty glass = bad!" So I glued some saran wrap to the top.

Now, should I decorate it further or leave it plain? I also need to figure out a neat holder for them. *ponders*

The other day I stopped at a thrift store and picked up a wicked cool pewter stein. It has a glass bottom! Cost me a whopping quarter. The only problems with it were the engravings that had been rubbed off, and the glossy black handle. Sanded and sealed it, then wrapped the handle with leather. Looks much more awesome now!

i have seen several posts in this community about the same topic, but i have a different question, so i hope someone can help me out

my 11 year old cousin saw this thing on TV about shrinkydinks, and she's been bugging me about them for a few weeks now, and i'm positive they don't sell that brand where i live

so i'm wondering if you anyone here know what sort of plastic sheets are used in shrinkydinks? something that will work exactly the same way that i can buy for her

thanks in advance!

Are there any UK sites that sell UK plastic charms. I searched "Plastic Charms" on ebay but not much came up.

The pictures are rather blurry, since I dashed them off before the camera batteries died, but I wanted to share the luggage tag I made before I head off to spend a couple days off the grid:D
