Hey there!

I'm making a necklace for a friend out of leather lace, but when I unravel it from the package, it was stiff and I can't get the bend marks out of it from being wrapped around the cardboard. Is there any way to soften the leather to straighten it and make it easier to work with?

Thanks!

Autumn Greenman Table / Stool

Isn't this cool, It took me several days to paint and stain this fella. I have gotten spoiled by working with such small items. I am used being able to finish a piece in a few hours instead of a few days. Table measures 12 inches across and 11.5 inches tall and the middle splits and folds down and there is a handle for carying. I love how it turned out although it took quite a bit of time to finish.

This is my first post in this journal, and this jewelry is not typical of what I do, but the whole creative process is hitting me again after a dry spell.  I decided to go back to my roots of seed beading with this little item.
So I'm reading this email from StyleBakery today about how skulls are "in" now.  Actually skull accessories have really been around a lot longer than this season, but I decided to add my contribution to the whole skull fad.  Here's my skull barrette on a french clip barrette which I love because they hold so well.

Once a month I trade mixed cd's with a few people and have been doing it for years. For my birthday every year, I create a special cd and booklet. (I don't do booklets any other time.)

This is what I came up with this year...

I'm not up to the tiny chain crochet toys yet (I just don't have the patience for it. But I do use a combination of knitting and crochet to make toys. Saturday made a Jellyfish for my tattoo-ist, as I'm seeing him Thursday for coloring
pictures!!! )
The cap and bottom dome are crocheted rounds (so much easier and quicker) and the curly tendrils are crocheted chains, and then I knit i-cords for the yellow tendrils. The curly-ness of the fuzzy tendrils was a completely happy accidnet. The whole of this was really based on a tattoo my husband got by the same tattoo-ist.

I am so darn proud of this!

A new knitted bracelet I made last night. Made with blue wire, yay. Lol, I don't know what it is but the fact that the wire is coloured just excites me :D

Quick question.

i've been contemplating knitting and/or crocheting my aunts some dish cloths and towels for Christmas... every year we do a craft exchange at christmas time, one big craft and we draw numbers, but often times people make smaller crafty gifts for everyone, and was just wondering what type of yarn is best for dish towels?

i have knitted and crocheted tons of dish cloths, but I don't like cotton for dish towels (for drying dishes), because it doesn't get the dishes very dry.

Is there a different type of yarn anyone can recommend that may work for dish towels that works well? Any advice is appreciated.

does anyone know where I might be able to find sheets of magnet?
That I could decorate myself?

I was digging through my tole painting kit today and I found 2 packs of "pressed flower" stickers. I've been wanting to decorate my laptop computer, but didn't want to do anything irreversible, or likely to damage it. These stickers were the perfect solution!
