i'll post my latest attempt at trying to sleep here. tomorrow i'm going to have lunch with a friend who i need to give some money to, and being the crafty gal that i am, i decided to try and make one of those "magic" wallets to give the money in. i bought all the fabric with the intention of recreating another wallet that i have, and i still have plenty of fabric left to try that out with at another time. anyways, click on the cut to see many pictures of the wallet, and one picture of my dog with her new bed cover :)

Alrighttttt.

So I'm a "big busted" gal. And I find that in recent years of "growth" the bigger they got, a problem persisted.

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but the underwire in my bra's always seems to break through the fabric and so I am left with the underwire sticking me either in the armpit or poking out between my clevage. It is rather annoying and sometimes painful. And its a shame that I have to buy bra's so freqently due to this issue.

Does anyone else have this problem? And if so, whats the easiest way to fix it or is there a way to prevent it?

Any ideas?

For the first time in my life I will have a dedicated craft space. I'm almost to the putting stuff in, and organizing stage. I picked up a book at the library, Organizing Your Craft Space for inspiration. There are lots of fabulous work areas pictured, but most are dedicated to other types of crafts (scrapbooking, beading) than I do. I have several large tubs of fabric, shoeboxes of thread and ziplocs of trim, and books and patterns out the ying yang. I'm constantly forgetting where I put stuff, and them don't use the fabulous vintage brocade or whatever becasue I just forgot it was there.
I'll have roughly 7 X 18 feet. I have a desk for the sewing machine, and have bought a little drop down table that mounts to the wall from Ikea. I plan to mount some measuring tape along the edges of the table (thanks Martha) for quick measuring when I've misplaced the yardstick. I'm thinking of pegboard for scissors and the like, however the wall space is lacking. However, I do have a wonderful vintage card catalog for trims and whatnot I'm dying to fill up.
So...anyone have some great ideas for fabric/crafting supply storage, or an awesome space to share? When I get it all worked out I'll posts lots of pictures to make up for the lack of ones in this post.

Well i am making a ribbon choker and i want to create an eyelet hole and attach an eyelet so you can connect it to it.
Only problem is i don't know how?
I brought an eyelet set which doesent even say how to do it. Also both sides need the eyelet bit.

I want to do a large mixed media piece with images of cowboys. When I search, I keep coming up with either pictures that are just models in cowboy hats or the outline of a cowboy or two against a sunset. I have found a couple good rodeo action shots, but I still need some pictures that show their faces. I am looking for some really good photographs of real cowboys. Any ideas?

Art Clay

Has anyone ever tried the Silver Art Clay? I got a 20g pouch of it, and I finally have everything I need to start working except the stove top netting. FMG doesn't sell it, and the Art Clay website does... but they want me to pay like $17 S&H for a $4 item! Blech!

Anyways,
What can you tell me about the clay? Can I bake it in my oven? Can I use screen instead the special netting? And lastly. I want to make a ring, what can I use to shape the ring if I don't have a mandrel?

Thanks!

hey everyone! I've been really busy crafting this week. My parents were away with the car and transit sucks here, so if I wasn't working I was stuck at home... anyway!

2 more wire link bracelets: the boys across the street were visiting & asked if I would make them bracelets: so I got out the India glass beads & let them design the bracelets & pick their wire and toggle and then I made them. =) The bracelets turned out nicely I think:

Hello

I have a question, not sure if this is allowed?

I was wondering if you guys could check out my site (no products or anything . .just making the layout) and see if these fonts show up:

kunstler script

bauhaus 93

my site: zillion.tux.nu

On the pc that I usually work on, they show up. It has IE and Windows xp, but folks could let me know if those fonts arent showing, that would be great. Apparently they don't work for the mac Safari browser. Thank you!

ps- once I get this site back and running, I'll be posting my new things. yay! -Katherine

edit: thank you everyone! I didn't mention before that my main text for paragraphs (etc) is fine. It's just the headers and navigation fonts that are being tricky. But thanks for all of your help! I'll just end up making them images instead. happy crafting :)
