i have a question (i looked in the memories and didnt see anything that would be helpful for me):

i am looking for a good way to put together a jumping jack / pantin doll like this

has anyone ever made anything like this before or know where i should ask about them?? i'm sure you know the sort of thing i mean. pull the string and BWIIPP, the limbs sort oc cinch up.

i've googled but to no avail :\

Yep Yep Yep )

Hmm.
I guess it turned out to be one of those things where you start with a relatively decent-looking project, and end with a completely butchered one as a result of my wrecking it with "improvements." (On the other hand the wreckage may easily be misconstrued as artistic genius, in which case I will probably become rich.)

could anyone point me in the direction of a manual/ have it/ whatever? i tried google. but without success :/

(my main problem is the tension of the bobbin, someone changed it and i am sick of trying for days without success, so it'd be quite cool to actually KNOW what i am doing instead of just fiddling around with it.)

thanks a lot!!!!

So, I was planning on doing my bedroom in Peter Pan but I couldn't really find anything Peter Pan, only Tinkerbell so..

I've decided that maybe Star Wars is better since I'm such a big fan.
How should I decorate?
Other than Ebay where can I get fun star wars stuff stuff?

I'm going to put up a bunch of those glow in the dark stars but other than that I'm not sure where to start.

Also, what are some other good crafting communities on LJ?

First time poster: :)

Last night I made myself a new purse/bag because I’m tired of the one I have. It’s kind of amateur but I like it. (Sorry for the crappy quality pics)

The inside is light blue and it closes with snaps. It took me about 2 hours to make. Its my first time making anything like this.

Ok, yes, I did check the Memories but maybe I wasn't looking for the right thing...I need a pencil case/bag/pouch/pencil whatever tutorial. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Well I told myself that I couldn't or wouldn't paint any pendants that were harder to do than my Starry Night pendant but I lied lol. The two Bewitched pendants were really really freaking hard to do lol. Each face is made out of clay and hand painted and wire wrapped.

A week or so ago I went to the salon with my mom. I wore A headband that I painted like 6+months ago. It's white with multi-colored hearts and dots on it. I thought maybe it was a little silly but what the hell. Anyway my mom's stylist asked me where I got it. She loved it! I asked her what her favorite colors were, she said pink, purple, and yellow. So I decided to make her one. She can wear it and spread the word?? I dunno, I enjoy doing it and I think I did a pretty amazing job for never having painted leopard spots before.

Hey, I know there are some sotm_swap members here. Does anyone know what happened? I know they were working out some kinks, but it looks like the group was deleted outright.

And to avoid the dreaded text only post... )

I made my brother some GIANT fish pillows (over 4ft long, shaped like a fish) for his couches in his apt. He loves them and I'm thinking about making some matching throw pillows that look like things that have to do with fishing. Any suggestions? I've googled some images, but I just don't really know what to make.

Ideas so far:

Tackle box
Fishing Pole
Lures (sp?)

*****EDIT:

Suggested so far:

Worms with googly eyes
Can of Worms

Hi guys.. this is a question post. I lost all my bookmarks and cannot remember this one fabric store that i loved. It has a lot of pretty retro fabrics. And fun titles like "It's a mad mod world" [one of my favorites!] and such.. Ring any bells people? Yes it's ironic that i remember the name of a fabric but not the site itself. Ahhh! I was about to go to the site to buy some more fabrics as i am running out and realized i lost the link and cannot remember! Help people?!?

Sorry again for this being just a question and not about something i made and such :(

I've been DYING to post this, but had to wait till Ali (my ex) had opened his birthday present...didn't want to spoil the surprise.

This is the first in a range of Mythical 'weeCreatures©' that I've started making. I'm going to make it part of a "weeweeNessa© creates" collection called 'weeMystics©'
I'm doing unicorns, dragons, angels, fairies, trolls

I made a hat for my roomates dog this evening. I got the idea from Here. I thought it would work well for a dog.

I used a stuffed animal because chloe, the dog, isn't here tonight.

I used the same fabric to make her a blanket when my roomate first got her.

<3 being crafty.
