endearingly cute or retardedly stupid?
I made it on a whim to give to sufjan stevens this wednesday (and to procrastinate further from outlining psychology)

Alright you crafty girls and guys, I know I don't post much here, but I really need your help on this one. Awhile back there was an entry about a plush banana where the peel part of it could unzipper and come off, or even just fall down a bit.

does anyone know where i can find either this entry or a pattern for a banana such like this?

yes, it seems like it would be easy to make impromptu, but.. i work a lot better with patterns.

this would be a great deal of help considering i cannot seem to find it or anything like it over the internet! and i would like it to be completely sewing (not knitting or crocheting, due to the fact i cannot do either of these).

if you can help, thank you very much for your help
if you can't, thank you for the time it took you to read this

Does anyone here buy or subscribe to the magazine ReadyMade? It’s the bimonthly print magazine for people who like to make stuff, lots of DIYing stuff. I’m sure most of you have it least heard of it. Anyway, in the most recent October issue on page 13 this ad caught my eye.

Did anyone else see this or look into this offer? I E-Mailed Grace Hawthorne (CEO/Publisher) and to my surprise I received a very unprofessional reply back on how to send payment. I sent her my credit card info by E-Mail and have YET to hear from her with a receipt. Very disappointed. I was wondering if anyone else took up this offer and E-mailed her. So far, it seems very sketchy. I think it’s a great deal, if what the ad says IS true. Just a warning for all you crafters out there!

So... it's that time of year again. My birthday is rounding the corner and I must make gifts for people! I like making stuff to give away and not getting anything. Hopefully there aren't too many people that know my lj that are actually coming to the party.

Warning:  Large pictures under the cut.
Enjoy!

So I seem to be on a bag kick these days. I love how I can start and finish a project in one day and still have time to do all the kid and house things I need to. This is a really cute blue/teal/yellow/white baby bag with a changing pad. It's so much nicer than the hideously ugly ones I got as a new mother!

And now, time for breakfast!

Hey everyone! Sorry this is text only...

My pals and I are going to be The Sexy Wizard of Oz characters this year, but with a twist. We're characters as something.

Like, I'm Really Gay Sexy Lion (I'm gay, shouldn't be too hard... My tail is a bull whip!)

I'm having troubles coming up with ideas for Sexy Scarecrow. I was thinking maybe Gangster or Mobster Scarecrow.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks, you sexy people!

Okay so I HEART this bag! After I made it I went out and bought more of the fabric so I can make one for myself. :)

So I'm trying to brainstorm ideas for how to decorate clothing--either tshirts, jeans, whatever--that are completely washable/removable. Does anyone have any ideas for how to decorate stuff that doesn't ruin the clothes?

I also have a bunch of pictures of stuff I've done lately/in the past 6 months that I've been meaning to post, but I'm at work right now so that'll have to wait I suppose.

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm interested in sewing something for my boyfriend for his birthday. I wanted to hand-sew something.

I'm looking for a pattern for a stuffed animal, preferabbly a fox. I doesn't have to be 3-D, it can be flat.

Any help is grateful!

A pearl necklace of mine broke, I don't have any silk thread or the kind of thing they're normally strung on, but I do hve some clear plastic fishing thread.

I started threading them, typing knots between them, and apart from the fact it's somewhat more stiff then the thread so the chain doesn't bend as loosly it seems to be going ok.

Can the fishing thread ruin the pearls in any way, or can anything else go wrong? I need ot know if I'll regret spending hours on this if it fails.
