I have a crafting explosion about once a year... It happened last week and here is the photgraphic evidence.

I've had this pair of Docs for over 10 years now, and have worn them about once for each year.

It was time to:

I have a bunch of bottle caps that i want to make things out of.
I also want to use the Sculpey clay i have to make them with.

any ideas on what kinds of animals/objects/characters/anything i can make using both of them?

there was a post a few weeks ago about someone who made turtles using the caps as the shells and the clay for the limbs for a friends birthday. i can't find it, but those kinds of things are basically what i'm going for.

thanks a lot.

I have a bundle of mismatched socks, and I can't think of what to do with them. I've checked the memories, but I couldn't find anything I liked. Any ideas? I'm not looking to make Sock Monkeys/Dolls out of them, either.

Thanks in advance!

Making all the Christmas decorations for the house this year is going to be a real challenge, but thanks to a few wonderful websites (most especially this one),  I may just be able to pull it off without going over my budget of, umm, well, nothing. That's right, I have to make the decorations and there is NO MONEY at all for any supplies. If it's not around the house already, I can't use it. Needless to say, the pile of stuff that would have been thrown out as garbage last week is growing ever larger. My sewing skills are minimal and my crochet skills consist of being able to do a chain stitch. My knitting is pretty good, though, so I have a few more things in mind, but nowDoes anyone have any suggestions for more ornament making fun? Nothing too complicated or that calls for anything but the most basic of materials, obviously. (God, I hate, hate, HATE being this broke.)
Thanks in advance!

I've been working on felt ornaments, I made another one but it is for a livejournal friend, so I didn't post it. These two are for my parents.

i have to make a 'product'* that i can present to the class to do with "the school of athens" (see: http://mv.vatican.va/3_EN/pages/x-Schede/SDRs/SDRs_03_02_020.html) and philosophy. it has to include a presentation about the painting, Raphael, and explanation about the 'product'. (people have done books...huge paintings...interactive things...etc etc.) I've been the only person assigned the school of athens so I have no help around.

trouble is, i have no artistic/drawing talent whatsoever and i have to have in it by 6am tomorrow. HELP.

ladies,

are there any spinners that post on here? i've got LOTS of high quality alpaca fiber from my mom's alpaca farm and NO IDEA how to get in contact with any spinners since I have NO IDEA how to make the fiber into yarn (or anything functional for that matter, lol). I'm not looking really for a tutorial but more for a someone or two to maybe do a co-op with. :)

let me know! :)

so that it's not text only, here is a pic of an un-sheered alpaca :)

My boyfriend used to work at a tech store where he would get tons of promo items, one of the items he got was a mario pin. He gave me the pin cause he knew I'd steal it anyways and I never wore it cause I hate wearing pins/brooches. Months went by until today when I decided to turn the pin into a pendant. I filed the pin parts off and voila!!

I thought I would share!

I'm going to make my sister a little Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal for X-mess out of felt... The body should be easy as well as the shirt. What I'm wondering, however, is how to make the head. The face, in particular. I am baffled. O_o
