I made some more tshirts. Havn't washed any of them yet to see how the paint is sticking on, but im loving them. Any suggestions on how to preserve the ink (1/3 textile medium to 2/3 acrylic paint). Oh and red really doesnt go on black very well.

Hello!

I posted this in [livejournal.com profile] longhair, and someone told me I should post it here as well. So, here's the most recent piece I've made (I'm putting things in an art show at Arisia).

Large images )

I made this with sterling silver wire, pearl beads (I can't remember if they're fresh or salt water, but I suspect fresh), and shells I found off the coast of Ireland. :) The base is a six-strand braid of 20ga wire, bent into a spiral, with 24ga wire providing support, making it look more like a spiral shell, and stringing the beads. The stick is 5ga wire (filed at both ends to make it smooth enough to handle and use on hair, and filed near one end to make a groove for attachments), with the part near the end wrapped in 24ga. 24ga wire also made the "chain" links with the shells and pearls. The shell in the middle had no holes or broken parts, so a cage of 24ga was made to attach it - the rest of the shells were able to be strung on the wire like beads.

I need some advice on sprucing up a purse. Does anyone know anything about working with pleather/patent leather/stuff of that sort? Your help would be appreciated.

Here's the story. )

Hi all, my boyfriend bought me some square cushions for christmas, along with some gorgeous fabric squares, the only problem is I haven't the faintest clue of the best way to make a cushion cover. I have a sewing machine, and any help or guidance you could give would be truely great! :)

Hey - I received some (metal stamps?) for Christmas...the kind you spread the ink onto just right (did not receive ink) and then press the paper onto them and...well...I cannot for the life of me figure out what that'd be called and how to google the proper use of them.

They're metal, pretty flat, mostly border designs.

Any help? Thank you!!

I forget if I've posted this already.
Many apologies if I have.

Here are a few things that I have completed during this holiday season. Surprisingly, I have been able to crank out about one craft a day...whilst my husband makes sure the house is clean and I am fed and the bills are paid. Ahhhh, true love. ;) I am sure there are even more pictures waiting to be uploaded from my 1GB memory card. But, those can wait.
!Edited to add origami box pattern!

Drying and awaiting the Modpodge. (Does anyone else get away without the acrylic sealant they recommend or will I be sad? I forgot to pick it up.)
