Do any of you know how to tie dye? not the kit you buy from Wal*Mart.
I want to tie dye my pillowcases and a few t-shirts.
Also if anyone could direct me to information on the chemistry behind it,
I would be very grateful.
Any help would be awesome.
Thank you, lovelies. :)

the jewish holiday Purim is coming soon.. it's like halloween, people get dressed up in costumes and stuff.
anyway, my sister wants me to sew a Little Mermaid costume for her. it doesn't look too hard, but i'm still not sure how to go about doing it.
any tips? ideas?

thanks!

Hi guys,

I'm making a stockinette striped scarf and it's my first time knitting in the round. I bought a 40cm (16") circular needle and cast on my stitches, but they come up short.

E.g. in this picture here:

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

the stitches reach all the way around the needle, whereas on mine there is a huge gap.

This may seem obvious, but does this mean I have the wrong length circular needle? Should I go for a 30cm (12") one?

Although I usually knit with bamboo needles, I'm thinking of splashing out on an Addi Turbo metal circular needle. Would anyone recommend these?

Thanks guys!

Two scarves, a pair of earrings, and a watch.

A pair of earrings I made for a friend.

Belt problem??? )

I thought of this today. My belt stuck straight out because it's too long...and so I decided I needed to fix it somehow...But, it had to be cute. And that's what I came up with. [I was just gonna use a hairtie.] If they actually make something like that, I've never seen it. [They probably do...So, I guess it's not that creative of an idea.]

Oh, and nevermind my badly chipped nailpolish.

About six months ago I posted some jewelry I made out of hama/perler beads. Well, some time after that I discovered the mini version of them, and was able to make a few more sophisticated designs. Here are a some examples (comments welcome!):
