Me and the T did some painting tonight! He's been sick but today was feeling mighty fine! Fine enough to create art! He's a regular Jackson Pollock minus the booze.

Thumbnails, so click to view full size!

Don't worry, non toxic Crayola finger paint kids stuff. Washed right off him too. :)

It's the only craft or anything I've done in so long. I've had crochet block for months now. I cannot create anything! How do I make it go away? lol

Hi there!

I need to pick your brains:D

What is a really good fabric glue? Not for clothing, for accessories.

What do you call those buttons that you can cover yourself in cute fabric that you can make rings and hair-slides out of. I am dying to make some but I can't remember what they are called:)

I really appreciate any help, thanks guys!!!

Thanks to a recent posting in this community, it reminded me of a pair of shoes my friend and I decorated for another friend's birthday. The shoes were from payless and we made the rest of the materials - all consisting of ribbon, buttons, and white nail polish.

x-posted, so sorry if you see it more than once.
i have an upcomming craft show, and i have a ton of the plain jane cotton dishcloths (the ones knit diagonally with the YOs and k2togs) that i plan on selling. how much should i sell them for? cost of materials isnt a factor, because i bought the bigger sized skeins at a dollar store for like 25 cents each when they were going out of buisness...
also, is there any way you guys can think of to package them? i was thinking tying 2 or 3 together with a bow tied from the same colour of yarn...
thanx!

Title pretty much says it all. What guage wire would you use for a beaded fan pull? I got a awesome idea last night.

I still haven't bought a tie for my camera strap (previous question) but I plan to on Monday or Tuesday. As soon as it's done I'll post pics, promise.

I made another pair of pants last night, but I need to tailor them before I take pictures. They're white with blue zebra stripes.

I found some really cool foam Shamrocks and wasn't sure what to do with them until I started painting them. I painted each one in a different design and then attached a pin back button for wearing Each one measures 1 3/4 inches tall.

I'll understand if this isnt allowed, I think this fits into a gray-area, so just let me know if its not:

A friend and artist of mine is starting this (crafty or artisy how you look at it) campaign that I truelly believe is an amazing and revolutionary idea that really depends on the support and participation of as many people as possible.

She's looking for people to submit photos of themself with the tagline "Start a Revolution, stop hating you body"

For more details an info you can go here:

or just send pictures to : loveyerbody@yahoo.com

I hope that you guys can feel as strongly about this cause as I can

What have I been working on and off on for the past few weeks?

A denim Bob Ross messenger bag, of course. )

It's made from an old pair of my jeans, a Bob Ross t-shirt that shrunk on me, and some leftover fabric and ribbon. I still have to sew a button on the front (I bought one, but I lost it, grrr..), but overall, it's all done. I'm rather happy with it, but I swear to a higher being that I'll never sew with denim ever again! Well, not ever again, but at least not for along while. Either way, enjoy!

Hello ladies! I have seen a few of you on here and also on Etsy making decoupaged polymer clay pendants, which I´ve also started to think is a great idea to easily free-form pendants (rather than using wood etc). The only thing I´m worried about is its durability?

My plan is to make pendants for necklaces, so it has to keep for some swinging around and maybe (hopefully not) getting stuck somewhere while wearing... Should I make them extra thick, and if so, how thick? Also, is the best thing to strung them with help of pushing an eye-pin in the clay, or should I make holes?

The images I have prepared are style icons of different eras, which I have played with in Photoshop. I will string the pendants on a chain with a small charm that has some connection to the "icon" (Faye Dunaway and a gun, Louise Brooks with white pearls etc). Am so excited to get the idea to work soooooooon!

This is not a selling post, but I have a question about stuff related to selling, and wasn't sure where else to ask.

I make and sell jewelry. Someone recently contacted me asking about wholesale prices. They are interested in buying my jewelry to resell, and want to know if I can give them some kind of percentage discount if they buy a certain amount, or something.

I don't really know that much about wholesale and how it works. Could someone explain? What kind of discounts are typical? I don't want to sell myself short.

I'm also kind of confused about the point of wholesale, because it sounds like I basically lose out on money while they in turn make money from reselling my stuff? Do you do it for exposure?

Any info/advice you have would be appreciated.

Now, I heard someone here made a tube of some sort for their ferret. I don't read the community on a regular basis but sometimes I check in and see what's going on. It's been awhile, though. My friend told me about the ferret tube quite awhile ago. I looked in the memories but didn't see anything. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Have the link? Thanks!

x-posted to [livejournal.com profile] craftgrrl and [livejournal.com profile] sew_hip because I'm not sure which comm it was in.

EDIT nevermind! I found it! It's here if anyone else wanted to see it.

So I received a shirt that I ordered on the internet today. I ordered an adult small, but it is definitely larger than all the other adult smalls I own (and really, what else is new? Sizing sucks).

I am extremely inexperienced with a sewing machine, though I do own one, which is a start! I would like to make the new shirt the size of a shirt that I think fits me better.

Here are some pictures for comparison along with the real question )

Question:
Does anyone know a good place to donate craft supplies (if you can share a link to the org/place of donation, that would be great!)? I'm doing a clean out and have a few things -- brand new things -- that I'd love for someone else to have since I'm not getting much use out of them....plus I'm on a huge donation kick lately. Thanks in advance for any help and again, if this post isn't allowed, delete away!

Answer:
I am going to donate to La Casa de las Madres shelter for women and children in California. Thanks to everyone who made suggestions! :)
