I started planting the seeds in my vegetable garden last week, so I needed some prettied-up row markers.

green a-line: hem detail

for the longest time i've been hoarding vintage sheets with the intent of using them to make skirts and accessories, but for some reason i never got past the "accessories" bit. well, no more! this past week, i was bitten by an impulse to whip up a cute a-line skirt. and so i did.

i'm the a-line queen )

Thanks for all the feedback on the necklaces in my last post. I'm still on the fence as to which one to gift, but at least I know whichever one it is, it should be a success and I won't be a rat bastard for keeping the "good" one XD

Spring has sprung! My brain has been percolating ideas on uses for copper plant tags. Only thing is, now I can't find them! I know in years past they showed up in packs at the Target $1 section. Has anyone seen them this year yet?

Any advice for working with velvet and velour? I hate the way the pieces shift around while I'm trying to sew -- no matter how many pins I use. Help?

Bunny ears?

... for my puppy? I know it's super lame but I want to make her some for easter. She's a 6 month old border collie so not like... a baby puppy anymore. This would have to be either hand-sewn or knit. Anybody know of patterns or such?

Start: with a quarter of your container of glycerin melt and pour soap left.
Then: find your soap mold that looks like it's been through Hell and back.
Next: chunk your soap and melt in the microwave with a little milk and honey mixed in.
Finally: pour into mold and let sit on level surface to harden.

Makes 2 ovals and 2 circles.

The final product )

I finally got these finished up. Due to a million dental emergencies I haven't had a chance to post them. I do have more but this is all I was able to complete so far.

Clear Resin with keys embedded. I put a yellow polymer clay backing to make it pop a bit more.

One other pendant plus Octopus Pendants in new colors )

Comments and constructive crit is greatly appreciated :)

Hello everyone! I'm Christiane and twenty-two. Since I'm almost always pretty busy with school I'm not so much of a craftgrrl as I'd like to be. I can't remember for what reason I decided to get all crafty back then; eventually for a Valentine's Day?

Anyway, my partner likes himself a scorpion; and since I used to call him Scorpionking I decided to sew him a plush scorpion filled with corn to actually let him feel the bony, chitinous shield covering his scorpion. His sting is sewn with pearls saying KING whereas the letter I got replaced with a star-shaped pearl.

Any of numerous arachnids of the order Scorpionida. )
