First post!

I made this for my boyfriend. I've been crocheting since I was seven years old, but this was my first attempt at amigurumi. I'm inordinately proud of him. *g*

Hi,

First off, I apologize for no pictures. I'm posting from work :(

Secondly, does anyone have a pattern for a car seat cover that is not for a baby? I googled "sewing pattern" + "car seat cover" and all the results were for either baby seats or pre-made covers. I don't really know how to just go in and pin something together, so that won't help me. I am willing to buy a pattern. I'm looking to make a seat cover for a 1991 Honda Civic DX, if that helps...

THANK YOU!

I'm trying to design some high end invitations that are 3d/pop-up

anyone know of a good vendor or printer that specializes in this
sort of thing? location doesn't matter, as long as they
can do business via the internet

searching on the internet is getting me nowhere
thanks

I entered a contest that BeGoths (www.begoths.com) was holding.  You had to make a t-shirt that was all about BeGoths.  This is what I submited!  If anyone want to guess which BeGoths doll it is, check out my BeGoths community here... http://community.livejournal.com/begoths maybe join it!!!

I made the ass's head for A Midsummer Night's Dream last month.

It started like this... )

...and became this. )

EDIT: I feel like I should add that this worked REALLY WELL. If you ever need to make a wearable light-weight 3D object that looks as if it has some heft to it, try this method. This thing can't have weighed more than two pounds, and it cut like butter when I was carving it. (Of course I had to cut through the dried glue bits where I'd stuck the blocks together, though.) Just keep in mind that it's foam- it won't survive tons of pressure.

I did all the makeup, too!

Also- I just got a job at JoAnn's! Hot damn!

I made this last night....I work at Joann's and they sell these clear pictures for $20 and I didn't want to spend that much so I decided to make my own, with Classic Pooh and my own design...

I'm just a little black rain cloud... )

mirrors that have exposed boobies on them )

People loved some of the "breast feeding madonna" pocket mirrors I made, so I found some more images.

So, I'm REALLY bad at sewing. No lie. I can barely make pillows.

So, what made me decide to make a bag??? Boredom, really.

I looked in the memories and didn't find any entries for this: has anyone out there ever made crayons? any tips or tricks? i've found tons of random webpages on the subject, but i would rather be able to have a conversation with someone who i know has walked the walk. thank you so much!

I don't know if I've posted any of my patchwork here before, but I thought I would share this with you as it is one of the more time-consuming pieces I've done.

I picked up some Bernat Sweet Stripes yarn to make blankets for some new babies of friends and family.  Only problem is, I am stuck on part of the instructions.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 110 sts.
Work 9 rows in garter st (knit every row), noting that
first row is WS and inc 10 sts evenly across last row.
120 sts.

1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K10. Purl to last 10 sts. K10.     (this is just switching knit to purl to knit, so shoulnd't be to much of a problem, right?)
Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 34 ins
[86.5 cm], dec 10 sts evenly across last row and ending
with RS facing for next row. 110 sts.
Work 9 rows in garter st.
Cast off knitwise (WS).

If anyone could help with this, I'd love to get started.  I'm just afraid that i'm reading it wrong; am I supposed to increase 1 stitch per/ row until the 10th row, or 10 in the last row, and if it's in the last row, do i do five on each end or what?

Sorry for the question only post!!!

I needed some sort of crafty giftcard holder for my friend's 21st bday. So I made a 'snake that ate and ate'. You may recal (but probably not) that I made one in the past: http://j9crafts.livejournal.com/8843.html
