I looked in the memories and couldn't find anything, so here I am.

Does anyone know if you can glue or put stickers on the plastic and then shrink it? Or anything like that? I can't draw, and I found this awesome clip are that would look great as a crafty item.

Any help is great!
TIA!

Are there crayons or something, you could use to draw starbursts of widening color on fabric and have it be permant? I know there's marker pens, but I heard they dry out quickly, and fabric pens are expensive.

I spent some time today playing with fabric, ribbon, glue, plastic and dirt.

Stick weaving, the easiest craft since grade school.

So, I am being very crafty lately, and I just thought I would share some of the progress of my stick weaving. Usually you use sticks, I wanted to try needles instead. I got them from hobby lobby for $1.20 each, they're called "weaving needles". They are near the knitting/crochet stuff. Anyway, it was kind of a gamble if it would work or not, and it came out really well. The only problem I am having is the smaller the needles are, the harder it is to move the work down.

At this month's craft group we used the charms we made last month (from polymore clay and shrinky dinks) to make bracelets. Luckily they had cute plastic leaf beads because I didn't know what I was going to do with my flowers. :)

Some friend of my roommates thought it be a great idea to have all the guests bring a decorated bib (not a good idea - not every one's crafty). Since they are not crafty, I had to do them all.

I made a circle skirt (that ended up a bit more oval-y but that's fine with me), and I LOVE it! I got the outside fabric for $2/yard, and the inside regular price to go with it. :D

On to the pictures, you say? )

I was walking through Hobby Lobby the other day, and saw a Castin'Craft kit for pouring resin jewelry. They had several other Castin'Craft brand products, and also had a mold with different pendant shapes. The mold appeared to be a candy making mold (it looked like it was just normal plastic, like what you make chocolates or wedding mints in).

I have done some light research, and know that I usually molds for this stuff are made of rubber. I also know that you can spray a mold release agent onto your molds so that the resin shape pops out easier. Not wanting to spend a buttload on latex rubber to MAKE molds, can I use just a normal plastic candy mold, or even indent my designs into non-drying modelling clay? I'm not going to be making anything that I want to exactly reproduce many times. Anyone else have any knowledge on the subject?
