i have loads of questions and sadly no pictures, but rewards to come for questions answered!

1. a friend of mine is re-doing her patio area in browns and teals and was wondering if there was a way she could make the fabric of these pillows [here] outdoorsy? would there be some kind of spray or such she could put on there or is it a lost cause? it won't get direct rain or sun where it will be laying, but would get wet in a heavy rain storm.

2. i am working on a scene in a box of sorts. it calls for a pond/lake. i was wondering what kind of glue dries perfectly clear and is shapeable (i kind want to make waves, where i will add gold glitter to the crests) so i'm guessing dries clear and is thick are the opperable terms here.

i will post pictures after all is said and done! thank you!

My sister in law's birthday is today, so I decided to make her a sock monkey. My husband did the stitching on the ears since I'm not patient enough *L*

For those of you who haven't made a sock monkey, I found a pretty good tutorial here. They're really not difficult, but they can get a little fiddly so you need to be patient ;)

This is the third time today I've tried to make a post. Maybe this time it'll work without me getting angry and threatening to delete my account!

Where's your favourite place for ordering fabric online that chips to Canada?

Best site for cheap fabric?

Best place for high quality (silk, etc)?

For those of you in Toronto, favourite brick and morter fabric stores?

I'm a little (a lot) intimidated by the Queen street stores and always feel like I'm being ripped off or that I don't know the ins and outs of the area. Fabricland doesn't have good selection and is way overpriced. Which Queen St. stores are your favourites? Any good fabric finds elsewhere?

I've got a bunch of sewing/quilting projects I'd like to start, but I'm looking for good sources of fabric.

TIA!

Quite a while ago, I posted questions regarding the "bad girl chair" I was building for my little girl who is really showing her ass through the "terrible 2" phase of her life.

And now, as promised, I'm posting pictures.

Do you want to go sit in your bad girl chair, Elizabeth?! )

I checked the memories but all that was suggested were: Walmart, Michael's and Joannes which we don't have here in Canada so I'm asking! (I checked Walmart and Michaels)

Where can I get larger marbles (like the marble magnet kinds)? The ones with one flat side. Somewhere online perhaps? Thanks in advance!

This is as close as I can get it to true life colors, my scanner isn't so awesome and made everything wonky...

Flower )

It took me about a half hour, maybe forty-five minutes of sitting still and painting. My motivation: having me mom call me and yell at me for twenty-some odd minutes that there isn't enough vendors at some flea market up by her and if I never paint anything how can I expect to sell them. This is the result, which I had copied at Office Depot, bought foam core and a mat board at Hobby Lobby (where I work) for a grand total of a little less than $3 per picture. Unfortunately my boyfriend was watching TV when he was "helping" me cut the mats and therefore the only one that turned out was the one I did in its entirety. In my opinion it was still worth it because it got me to sit down and paint. Comments are, of course, always welcome.
