Are there any good tutorials for how to make your own polymer clay molds?

Thanks!

Yay for buttons! These are all patterns that I drew myself by hand and digitally colored. I have a ton more but I have been lax on getting pictures of them.

Being inspired by [livejournal.com profile] crafty_tardis I decided it was about time I do a Star Wars Crafts LJ Community! So behold -- [livejournal.com profile] starwarscrafts!

After writing endless Star Wars craft projects for Lucasfilm on starwars.com -- like the Bossk Bean Art portrait, Chewie Tissue Box Cozies, Yoda Felt Doll and a ton of others -- I figured I might as well start a group on LJ where we can all share our ideas!

Please join the community and post craft project ideas, questions, links you find to other Star Wars craftiness online or whatever! I want to make this a fun crafting community for all of us who can't help but geek out with a glue gun!

These are some necklace and earings my grandmother made. I tried to teach her to knit but it didn't quite catch on and in her quest to find a hobby she took a jewelry making class. I have her permision to post these, she isn't very computer savvy but I know she would enjoy the feed back. She has been working with plastic and glass beads as well as Tagua Nut.

I am a newbie here and I hope I didn't break any rules.

She has over 50 sets made already, but I'll only share 5 of my favs )

The CBC has put together a webpage about crafting. There are videos from many years ago and from not so long ago, images and text all about craft. It's really interesting. I thought I'd share.

I know some of you seamstresses may appreciate my find! :)

It's a Kenmore from 1956-1958 in FANTASTIC condition. I found it as I was stopping by a new hobby shop I found ... the next store over was filled with sewing machines. Since I've recently began sewing hammocks for small pets, I found that my Brother XL-6562 wouldn't really cut it - it wouldn't go through many layers of fleece, even with a larger needle. Some of you may remember me posting about it.

So, I went in and asked if he had anything that was heavy duty and could go through very thick material. He's a Singer dealer and had some fleece on hand, so he showed me the most powerful thing they had in store. We folded the fleece up to the thickness I wanted to go through and... well, that $400 machine broke the needle on the first pass. XD Oops.

After being upset that even he didn't have anything that could do the job, he said "... wait a minute. Let me show you something." and took me to the rear of the store and pulled out a green table. He flipped it open and ... tada! Out popped this 50 year old Kenmore! We tested it and it went through the really thick fleece with absolute ease. I was scared to find out the price tag on it, since it was also recently serviced.

$67. You've got to be kidding me! I exclaimed I wanted it, right then and there, but needed to wait until I had the cash. After telling a friend all about it, she surprised me with the money to go get it as an early Christmas present.

So. The Kenmore is miiiiine. I've been working on it for the past few days now and it's an absolute dream. :]

Here's a few of the things I've made with it so far! They're hammocks for rats and ferrets and the like. )

Hello crafty ladies, I have a Shrinky Dink question. I'm making a set of things for a friend as a gift swap. How do you seal your Shrinky Dinks? I tried using Modge Podge for my last set, but it smeared the colored pencil a little. Any tips?
