So I found time to post these sooner than I thought. Mind the semi-crappy pics, but here they are:
more polymer goodness )

My first apron! It was exciting to finally finish it. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to sell it and I'm going to keep it all for myself!

Hello Ladies and the few gents,
Does anyone know of any places that sell soap making supplies in NYC? I think I'm going to go to Pearl Paint Craft store, but I was there awhile back and if i remember right, there selection was slim. I just need some melt and pour base and molds. Let me know if you know any good places, otherwise I think i might trek up to the Michaels in Queens this weekend.

Thanks.

Help, I need some ideas. I'm making gift baskets for my friends, for the holidays. I'm thinking comfort for the theme. So far I've come up with a mug, hot cocoa mix, those really comfortable sock things, and a candle. I've looked thru the memories, and I've gotten some ideas. I'm really not going to have the time to make anything, because of my work schedule. I appreciate any ideas, ya'll could give me.

I've been crocheting for a month & here's what I've done so far (click cut!)

under cut )

Haha the joke's on me. When I first started out, I was so proud that I learned double crochet but I realised that it's only single crochet, because of differences in US/UK terms. Also, I borrowed a random crochet hook which happened to be just one size too small so the beanie is sized for a child ...not me, haha :P

Anyway, since I live in the tropics, I can't actually wear these ..so that's a quite disappointing ):
Anyone have summer crochet ideas? I was thinking of trying wire crochet or amigurumi but any other ideas?

Hello my crafty comrads. Quick question.

How safe is it to embed polymer clay (namely sculpty and super sculpty...cuz that's what I have a large amount of right now) in resin and in gel candles?

I've heard mixed things about resin so I thought I'd ask...

And gel candles...I've heard no flammable objects and the big book of Michael's says that polymer clay is okay to embed but I thought I check that out with you ladies before I tried.

Just some things I'm starting to mess with. Trying to get some questions answered first. ^_^

Thanks in advance!

Well, I haven't seen very many paintings/drawing being posted, so I hope this's cool fer everyone.. But yeah- just a trio of pieces I've recently done. Kinda weird, but I hadda pop the top off my brain and let these out... rawr.

Anyways, you can click on the thumbnails for a larger view:

A pencil doodle I started on a 3X5 index card, finished on cheap-ass computer paper, then took into Photoshop for some quick color.

Pencil sketch done on a 3X5 index card which was then colored using acrylic paint and Prismacolor pencils. First of two mazes.

This one is also a pencil sketch done on a 3X5 index card and colored with acrylic paint and Prismacolor pencils. Second of two mazes.

And that's it fer now. Yayy!! I hope you've enjoyed these, despite the strangeness.. Heh! ^^
