The card making I have under control, its the gifts that I need a little help with. I am trying to make scented paper. I have paper, I have rubber stamps for the corners and I have essential oils. Now I know I can not put the oil right on the corner of paper or I will get icky oil spots. I though that I might be able put it on paper towels let it dry a sec. then put it between the the sheets but I still get SPOTS!

Dose any one have any ideas about how to leave the scent and not the spots?

Thanks for all the help!

^__________^ I'm happy! I finally got my little hands on some shriny-dink paper!
I've been after it for quite some time now! I know most of you lovely ladies and possibly gentleman love this stuff as much as I do!
I've been making anything and everything the last day. This is my first time ever doing this. For whatever reason. O.o
So of course, as I go on, I'll get better, but. I'm excited!
I plan on making a charm bracelet for myself out of all the super nerdy things I love ever so much, here's a beginning of what's to come and a charm bracelet for my friend in Texas with superheroes and other special little things!

Hello, everyone.

I made totes and purses for my friends for Christmas. All are made, in one way or another, from clothes.
Onto to the treasures! )

Would the clay gum up the indents? If you could use it for clay ornaments, it'd sure be a neat perversion of one items use for an other intended use. When I say gum up I mean as far as not pressing cleanly or stickin when you want to pull the cut out of the clay:)

Here's something that's been plaguing me that I could not find in the memories.

Over the years I have tested various ideas that all failed, in attempts of making the perfect crafty beverage coaster. Thus far I've only really been able to create ones that will work for cold beverages but not hot, or hot beverages but not cold. The biggest problems I've come across are icy, sweating drinks washing away embelishments or hot coffee mugs erasing designs.

So I thought this might be the place to bring it up. Ideas?

I'm hoping someone here will know this. I searched everywhere and I cannot find it. I'm looking for a pattern for a paper snowflake. This one was a square that was cut into 1-2 inch strips and then you fold them over onto eachother. You make 4 or 5 of these and then you staple them together to make one big star/snowflake.

It was posted on LJ last year and I made a few of them, but I lost the link. GRRR.

Anyone?

Inspired by another monkey I saw on here some time ago, and by my husband. It's a long story. Suffice to say, it's not safe for work. )

A long time ago I came across this poem that mentions something about being away from your loved one and that you are only a phone call away but if they miss you open the box with the Hershey kisses and hugs in it?

Does any one know what I am talking about?

I think it says something like In this box made out of my love for you blah blah? Man I can't find it anywhere!!!!!!!!

The idea is that you get Hershey kisses and the hugs and you put them in a box that you decorated and on top of the box is that poem.

I did these as a present for a dear friend who takes care of her grandchildren a couple of days a week. So I made her a set of hand puppets that the kids can play with as can she.

So, my mom and dad got my a Kenmore 15208 sewing machine for Christmas almost 4 years ago..... and guess what? I've never used it. I'm a sewing Machine neglecter. However... no more will I leave my poor unused sewer to sit in it's box to do nothing. I have a project in mind. A couple of months ago while shopping with my mom at Wal-Mart, I happened across this messenger bag kit in the now dwindling craft section. It was ten bucks. I thought what the heck. It had all sorts of cool iron ons and little star studs to glue on it, and I needed a new bag anyway. This was a lot better than buying a purse that already had SOME stuff on it for seven bucks more (that and I could make it look however I wanted it look). So I get it home and get to work on it. I pick out the iron ons that I want to use, get everything set up and start to iron..... they won't stick.... either that or they stick partially and rip. I followed the instructions to a T, and it doesn't work. I try a number of different things to get it to work... and nothing. I'm steadily getting more and more angry and cursing the company that created this retarded thing. I do what I can and start using the crappy bag as my new purse for the time being. I contact the company with my complaints, expecting nothing... However, I get a reply asking for the model number and my address, plus an apology. three weeks later, I receive a brand new replacement kit, with no request to send back the original. Now... This is where the sewing machine comes in. The down fall to the kit (other than the crappy iron ons that come with it) is that there is no lining in the bags, at all. So, I dug into what little fabric I have in my craft tower and came across two bundles of fabric that I bought two years ago to make a bag from scratch. One of which is this really nifty red which I will use for the lining. Also, there was some black that I will use for a couple of pockets. As far as what the front flap will look like, I have an interesting design in mind that I will draw on and paint up with fabric paint. It might take a while, I've got a very demanding baby, that and I have idea's flying in and out of my head like mad lately. lol. I'll keep everyone updates. Plus I will have before and after pictures.
