made from various blended yarns, including acrylics, nylon, mohair, wool.

the yellow is a super chunky yarn , Zoomy, which is a bit of a pain to crochet as its just a lot of thin threads loosely twisted, specially when worked tight like i did here, but he turned out ok anyway :]

Please come and join! Mostly because I have no idea how to run these things. But also because I know each and every one of you have some kind of "hate" item; I recently made a "hate rug...I'll bet a couple of you even have voodoo dolls. So come and share your ideas, and participate in quazi therapy type crafting!

Any rock tumblers in here?

I have what is probably a simple question. I recently got a rock tumbler, and will have my first completed batch of rocks in the next week (all going well). I am planning on taking these, and wrapping wire around them to make pendants for my necklaces.

My question is this: I've read where people take wire wrapped rocks, and tumble them to strengthen the wire, and they say to use 'steel shot'.... What is steel shot? And where would I get it?

So I'll be honest...I've been kind of scared to post some of my crafty-type stuffs, but I thought...what the heck. I posted the hate rug, I might as well present some of my "kinder" crafts as well, hehe.

I just recently started working with crocheting with beads...this is my first complete set. It's a necklact, bracelet, and my personal fave...an anklet. If you all have any suggestions i would love to hear them! Crocheting with wire is really a lot of fun!

Hand cut stencils printed on recycled t-shirts. A series on influential women. I need to make more stencils.

Third and possibly final shadow box game in this series, all of which are inspired by Newsies. This is my most complex box to date as I had to almost completely dismantle and re-design it, because my first attempt needed some adjustments that didn't become apparent until I'd gotten the thing all assembled and found out that the small margins of error were just enough to make it not work properly.

Anyway, this box can be played in two modes, one of which is a game (since it has a goal) and the other simply a desktop toy. It's named for "Carrying the Banner," the first big musical number in the movie. (If you're not familiar with the song, it's a cheerfully cynical rundown of penniless life in 1899 New York.)

( Follow the fake cut for more pics and details. )

Any ideas?

Hey all, I've been more and more depressed everytime I broke a belt buckle and I finally broke my favorite one. I'm not a welder, so i've been trying to figure out what I can use them for? they are too good to throw out, but really too heavy to do much with. I checked the memories but couldn't find my answer...so if anyone has any input, please pass it along my way! Thanks!
And so This isn't a pictureless entry... Here's my latest project... )

Phew!

Firstly.... Oh my god.

Full time work when I haven't worked in a year and haven't actually ever worked full time before, coupled with trying to make things to a deadline... dear lord, I nearly imploded. But my craft swap presents are done and done now. I wish I'd had more time, especially to finish off Emma the robin ( will post about her soon ), but I had to send them out so although they're not as nice as I'd like them to be, at least I got them out the door.

My first partner, Mandy from Vancouver, likes cute crafts and sushi, and I like making felt replicas of real life stuff so I made her some felt sushi (naturally!).

I'm sleepy now but I'll try to post pictures of Emma the robin tomorrow. Enjoy!

With Easter fast approaching on the horizon, I have been busy making a few cards for friends and family. I only have five done so far, two are repeats, and have a few more to get done. I will be working on more tomorrow. These are what I have gotten done so far.

Mass update here, since I don't want to annoy everyone by posting each time I finish something. So you get a bit of everything.
