Sometimes I get a nice shot of my jewelry. This is totally accidental. One thing I noticed is that my black computer table makes a much better background than my old light wood one. Another thing I noticed is that my silver looks very yellow in all my pics and I don't know why.

You guys take some very nice pictures of your stuff. Any tips on how I can improve my pics?

Rag rug?

I want to make a rag rug out of old material and things like socks that I have because I have way too many!
So...how do I do it? Preferably without too much sewing (I don't have access to a sewing machine at the moment, but I am willing to do some sewing) and without crocheting because I don't know how. I'm thinking, like, a braided rug? I don't know what else to call it!

buttons!

some 1" buttons that i made the other day. i designed them, using illustrator. it was the first time i had made them with my own designs, i usually just cut the circles out of old books. i have put them up for sale before, but never sold any. i mostly just put them in swaps that i send out.

now i have some questions for those of you who make these too:
do you sell them? if so how?
how do you price them? do you sell them in packages?
any creative ways of selling them? i was thinking about maybe a button club.
do you find that they sell well?

The past few days I've shown you goodies I've made for other people.

Today, it's all about me.
I think this post will kill off all the stored up pics of my creations from the past few months and the rest of them are all things I've made for myself.

Except for this one set of magnets:

Made for my husband, who is a big fan of all those superhero types.
And I've gotta admit, so am I.

more magnets, a DS case, necklace, earring holder and cross stitches )

So I know I could easily go out and find puzzle glue and buy it. But I have tons of random adhesives/glues/etc art supplies lying around and wondering if there's some way I could make my own "puzzle glue" with random things around the house (or rather my dorm room haha). Any suggestions would be great for me to try, with all the effort put into this puzzle I refuse to take it apart.

blankets for twins! )
I crocheted these for a baby shower about a month ago.  I sort of improvised off of a pattern for a blanket I wasn't too fond of (I just liked the zig-zags).  I used Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn in blue, green, and pink.  I have a selfish hope that these will be the blankets that get dragged around by the babies when they're one and two

Hi, I'm new in the CraftGrrl!

Some crafts that I make

[identity profile] xphronvistle.livejournal.com
I want to paint on my laptop, just a black finish on the top and on the wrist hand parts. Any good paint that I could use without having to disassemble the whole thing?

what kind of paint also works best with painting on plastic? Whats this bit about sealing? EHH EHH?!!!

Iam normally a crocheter *happy hooker* and just looking to "spiff" things up a bit by adding some gold edging and some modge podged items on the top of my bull and doaring laptop.

Was looking on line but all I found was spray painting tips.....grumbles

Thanks alot!
