Meet Ursula.
May. 5th, 2008 06:41 pm
I'd like to make Ursula a friend, but I'm out of plastic safety joints, and the store where I bought the joints for Ursula has disappeared. Where I live (near Moncton, New Brunswick and St. John's, Newfoundland), I can't seem to find any other stores that sell bear-making supplies, so it looks like I'll have to buy online. I've found a few websites that sell them and look reputable, but I'm wondering if anyone here knows of a (preferably Canadian) doll/bear supply site that you would recommend - or that you'd recommend I avoid!
Thanks in advance!

May. 5th, 2008 08:10 pmHi guys! Ok this is my very first time posting and I feel so bad making it a question. Here's the thing: my best friend's birthday is coming up and I decided to make her a necklace. I have made some progress but I'm not sure if I should just keep it the way it is! 'Cos she's my best best friend and it's her 18th birthday and I want to make something really special. So please do comment if I should add anything or not. Thanks for the help! :]

Does cooking count as crafty?
May. 5th, 2008 08:29 pmI attempted crepes for the very first time and they came out so wonderfully that I felt compelled to share:

I filled them with blackberries and ricotta cheese, then sprinkled with a little powdered sugar. They really were yummy.
And just in case cooking isn't quite crafty enough, ( I did crochet a little blanket/thingy. )

My dogs are constantly pulling the towels off the stove so they can sniff, lick or otherwise have their way with them. I made this knitted thing that's sewn to the towel so it will stay put.
