Been lurking, first time posting projects, etc. [insert n00b schpiel here]

So, I'm normally a knitter rather than a seamstress, but this year I started university. My geekiness increased exponentially - I was the first girl and first freshman to be elected president of the sci-fi/fantasy society - which led to an increase in my desire for costumes, especially steampunk and medieval ones.

I also made two more shibori-star T-shirts in size 4T, identical to the 2T, and a matching T-shirt for myself. There just aren't enough places that sell nephew-aunt clothing sets. ;)

I recently acquired a new batch of vintage beads, so here's some of the things I've made with them:

Bracelet made with vintage glass beads, vintage lucite 'moonglow' beads, vintage plastic filigree beads and antiqued brass findings. Closure is recycled.

& a pair of earrings )

So I've grown into the habit of painting pewter warhammer minis, just for fun. I want to know if people consider this a craft and if so, would there be a demand for pictures?

I'm not sure if this is quite "crafty", but this is the first place I could think of to ask...

There's this clock that was amongst my husband's grandparents' things, that my step-father kind of fell in love with when he was helping me move in. Tonight my husband's family (finally) started going through all the junk, and designated the clock as "donate-able", and said I could give it to my steppy after I mentioned his fondness for it. His birthday's in the end of September, just a few days before my parents are scheduled to visit me (after a year and a half- I moved a couple thousand miles away), and I'd really like to have it fixed up for him. Of course, I'm poor as all hell, so I want to attempt to do as much as possible myself (he'd probably enjoy that, too)...

A handful of pictures and some more rambling )

Any help would be very much appreciated.
