MORE PHOTOS

These started out as chipboard boxes from Hobby Lobby. Painted them and wrapped them in acetate, also found at Hobby Lobby! My xmas tree is pink aluminum so I made these to go underneath! :) Just thought I'd show you guys.

My first niece will be arriving any day now, so I'm making her random things that show what I want for her. I made her a quilt inspired by an abacus (http://needyl.com/quilting/abacus-baby-quilt-pattern) so she would be good at math (an abacus is one of those bead things that people used for math before there were calculators).

And so she has good eye sight and can see in dim light - a carrot!

It's so annoying how laptops get outdated so quickly. My current laptop is really really ugly and about 5-6 years old and cost my parents like 500 dollars. The harddrive just burned out, but due to lack of funds I'll just replace the harddrive instead of getting a whole new lappy. I figure I can just pimp it out so it looks less old and antique..

soooo....have any of you guys decorated your laptops (besides just putting those sticker things on it)? pictures? Thanks!

So- Next week I'm heading off to college!!! I'm very close to Boston, so I was wondering... any knitters/sewers in the area have some cool yarn/cloth/craft stores to recommend?? Thanks!

The scenario:
I removed the large scary cuffs and collar from an old button down I have and screen printed it. I was able to sew the collar bits back together by hand to make a mandarin style collar, but the cuffs aren't being so easy on me. I don't machine sew, and the old cuffs are long gone.

The question:
Can I just trim any threads and put Fray Check or Fray Stop on the edges all the way around the cuff and leave it at that? Would it be stiff or sticky? Any other ideas?

The pictures:
I don't have any pics of the shirt in question, so here are some other items I've screen printed lately...

Thanks.

**This is referring to jewelry displays, but I'd also like to see what other people do as far as displaying your crafts!**

Hi ladies,

I wonder-- do you have a picture of a typical display you do for craft shows? I would like to change up my display and add some height to it. In a show I'm doing in October, which is 3 days (OMG!), I will have a 10x10 booth (indoor) so I need to get some height into my displays. I'm researching different ways to do it.

Here are some shots from displays past...

I want something more professional and less "home-grown" looking, ya know? So..... let's see your craft show displays!!! How about putting the pictures in comments, then maybe we can add this to the community memories?

So, I started working on this mirror a long time ago, then stuck it in a closet and pretty much forgot about it...until now! I spent seven hours today finishing this puppy up, and I couldn't be more proud. The photos really don't do it much justice - partly because I broke my camera, partly because I can't hang it up on the wall until I get some bracket things for it, and partly because I didn't get all the newspaper fuzzies off of it.

Free mirror from a dumpster + leftover Armour Etch & contact paper ==

And...I need some knitting help.
I'm in the process of knitting a hat on circular needles...but it started to twist. Is there any way I could fix the twisting without starting all over again?

Thanks.
Peace.
Liz.

Taking a break from our kitchen renovations (aka, replacing the sink unit that was HORRIBLE when we moved in at the beginning of May and have finally saved up enough money to replace!)

So, I thought I would post a few jewelry items I've made recently :)

I'm interested in making a charm bracelet. I couldn't seem to find a basic "How To Make A Charm Bracelet" tutorial in the FAQ. Could any of you lovely chellovecks post tutorials/tips/advice? Keep in mind that I'm a total novice at this. Thanks in advance!

I'm waiting on more yarn to come in for the Mario Scarf, but until then I'm working on other fun projects.

I make seriously geeky crafty stuff like THIS! )

Whee! :D

Now, in a bout of extremely unrelated craftyness... I'm working on a pocket shrine of Santo NiƱo de Atocha! ...XD
