I know this has been asked before but I'm having a tough time tracking the post down! Where is the best place online to find fun print fabrics at a reasonable price? (We don't have much to choose from locally)

Okay, first a bit of background... My friend's daughter desperately wants to learn stained glass. Part one of the dilemma is that they have no money to take classes. So I volunteered to teach them. She is twelve years old and incredibly talented with all arts & crafts so I know there will be no problem teaching her other than, I myslef, don't know how. Oh, I know the basic principles... I have books, magazines and tons of other resources and I've seen it done dozens of times by others. And the really good thing is that I'm the type who likes to learn on my feet and teach myself. Any advice for starting out or teaching others would be greatly appreciated...

Next part of the dilemma is still the money. I can afford to purchase the tools and some very basic supplies but that will only get us started. Do you crafty chicas have any suggestions on where to get supplies on the cheap? I have a few ideas but I'm hoping for some more inspiration...

Has any one here ever used any of the Xyron sticker machines? I’m thinking about purchasing one for scrapbooking and gifts, and was wondering what the finished product looks like. I did read up on them at Joann.com, but it doesn’t give a lot of information about it.

A few things I was wondering…

+ Do the stickers come out with a peel-able backing, so that you can store them, or package them up as a gift? I don’t really want a final product that comes out with the sticky side exposed, so that I am forced to use it right then.

+ Do you just feed in a piece of paper with your design on it, and then it applies the adhesive to the back? Can you use any kind of paper, vellum, or cardstock? I have some really nice laid paper that would be really unique as a sticky tag, but didn’t know if you could put adhesive on it.

Thanks in advance!

hi everyone :]  i recently bought a few hundred of these little guys with the intention of turning them into charms and making jewellery with them.

my first question is concerning glue. i've read in many places that the best kind of glue to use is diamond glaze, but i haven't been able to find it anywhere (in australia) so my only option would be to buy some online. the next best thing that i've been able to find locally is helmar's gemstone glue. i'm not sure if that would damage or alter the images i'm sticking to the glass though, so i'm a bit hesitant about using it.  has anyone had any similar experiences with helmar's gemstone glue? it is worth risking it or should i just get some diamond glaze?

my second question is what would be the best method for turning them into charms? my boyfriend suggested using a really small drill bit and drilling little holes into the glass and then attaching jump rings to the hole. can anyone think of anything else? because although i do think that's a good idea, it'd be really difficult to keep the little gems still while i'm drilling them because they're so tiny. thank you! :]

Can anyone point me to some good sites to purchase purse handles? I am knitting a purse for my sister and it calls for 8" ring handles. Googling really didn't get me anywhere. Most of what I find is bamboo and I don't think bamboo will look good with the yarn I am using. Thanks in advance!

I've been googleing my ass off to no avail.

I need an enclosed container made of glass or metal that will hold something thirteen to fourteen inches long.

I was thinking either something like a very very large altoid tin or something like a

I saw a lovely pair of lace gloves for sale for £25/$50 and I simply cannot justify spending that much on something I probably will only wear a few times!

So I was wondering if anyone had any links or tutorials as to how to make your own gloves. A pattern or step-by-step guide would be really useful. No knitting patterns though please.

Thanks a lot =]
