I usually do a handful of crafty projects for the holidays, and I was inspired by a project in a crafts magazine, so I did a smaller version with a holiday theme -

I bellydance. I recently finished a custom order for a costume (I don't take orders, I only work in my local community here in Tokyo) and got some stunning photos back of some of my homemades in action at a photoshoot.

This might count as cam-whoring, if so, so be it. For me it is about celebrating the fact that I made these. New costumes are hella expensive!

Beware, thar be torsos a plenty and some cleavage. )

These are my latest creations :) Wee little trinket rings!

Simple but sparklie.

They can be worn individually or stacked like in the photo :)

I've been trying to come up with cute little things that I can sell inexpensively - what do you think?

To remedy a lazy Sunday, I decided to create some plush art of my own! It's probably pretty much the crappiest craft I've ever made (all I had was an old tee-shirt and some needle and thread) but I thought I'd share. Any one have any suggestions for future plush projects?

I've been making old record bowls all night!

I'm really liking the way they're turning out.

As Thanksgiving and Christmas draw near, a lot of us are wanting to make tasty treats for friends and family. I've have been making a candy for a few years now that's always a hit.... it's very easy and very cute.

Materials:
-Hershey Kisses
-cherries with stems
-melted chocolate
-almond chips
-decorating frosting or gel
-wax paper

Directions:
-Dip a cherry into the chocolate and put it on the wax paper on its side (so that the stem is sticking out sideways)
-attach a Hershey Kiss to the cherry on the opposite end from the stem, pointed end out, making a body with a tail and a head.
-add two almond chips between the cherry and Kiss, making ears.
-allow to sit for a while so the melted chocolate can harden.
-use frosting or gel to add a face.

I have a pic to share as an example:
