If it's small enough I feed it through my printer and turn it into an address lable. It works perfectly. The festive paper kinds of drowns out hand writing and makes it really hard to see, and printing fixes that, plus you can easily control size of font, color of font, and type of font. Plus now a pure red paper or pure black paper is no longer an issue with printer ink.

At first I only bought the scrap booking paper cause IW anted one piece out of the pack of 20, and didn't know what to do w/ith the rest and was going to sell it or give it away, and now I crave more scrap booking paper lol.

I am making everyones christmas prezzies this year, i asked one of my guy mates and he said, make me jewellary, you are a jewellary maker! Fair enough, but I've never made guy jewellary before. I'm clueless as to what kind of things are acceptable. I searched the memories but couldnt find anything. He is into the army an stuff, an musicals, spesifically Phantom of the Opera. Any Ideas? Sorry to bother you with so many questions at the momnet, but my inspiration has run out!

Thanks

I was searching around on craft sites and found this:

Air Freshener

Anyone tried this before, how does it work exactly? Does the resulting gel just give off a smell or slowly evaporate?

Pleated wristlet pouch made from part of a thrift-store skirt. Now filled with chocolates to be put in the gift exchange that my linguistics study-buddies and I are having tonight.

Once more, with mittens! )

And I have a question about fake fur: I found a nice large piece of it at a thrift-store for $0.99, and couldn't resist - it's at least a teddy-bear's worth, and I'd pay well over $15 for that amount at Fabricville. Only trouble is, everything that comes from the thrift-store smells like whatever it is they use to wash their clothes and fabrics. So how do you get thrift-store detergent smell out of fake fur? I don't trust it in my washing machine, and I'm not even sure I want to get it wet unless I know for sure it'll be okay and not get all matted and gross. I'd really appreciate any advice you might have!

Can I add a snap closer to part of the hood on my hoody, so it'll stay closer to my lips chin nose ? It's a 6 xl male so the hood is extreamly generous in size, but I'd like to have it a lil closer to my face to keep warmer, and the drawstring doesn't affect the middle of the face, just the  outline.

I was looking for some of those non skid socks for my little one today and they are no less than 3$ each. If anyone here has little ones you know just how FAST those little socks get lost, not to mention just how fast they grow out of them.

So I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of product I could put on the bottom of regular socks that would still be flexible, non toxic, and stick to the bottom.

I think if I can figure the right stuff I just might add some to those super cute Christmas socks I saw today for stocking suffers for my 8 nieces and nephews! Personalised with their names or initials...

This is a set of kitchen towels for one of my hubby's grandmothers. She likes bunnies and has a good sense of humor. He said she would get a kick out of these.... and since I'm on an embroidering kick. (Cool patterns once again thanks to www.urbanthreads.com)

So, okay. I want to make comedicly large real-to-life nipples to wear as pasties. Because it's just so God damn hilarious. But I'm not sure what kind of material to use to make them? My first thought was clay but I want something that's going to retain its softness and flexibility. Does anyone have any ideas for a material I can use that won't be too difficult to work with?

Guys, I'm sorry, but I know that there was a wonderful tutorial about casting resin that someone posted on here a few months ago. I've checked the memories, and I used LJ seek, but I just can't find it!
Anyone know what I'm talking about? Did I dream it?

I got a new toy this summer. I've been too busy to keep up here, and too busy to sew creatively (as opposed to commercially) but I've also been finding time here and there to play with my new toy.  And now that I've taken the "Intro to Machine Embroidery" class to get me REALLY familiar with what the machine can (and can't) do, I've been spending much of my surf-time looking at embroidery design websites.  And getting sick.  There's not much out there for people who don't like "precious".
