sorry about the bit of x-posting

i just started my baby on solids.
now i have all these adorable teeny, short, fat jars...

i hate to throw them away.
i think i am just going to donate them to a preschool if i can't find a use for them. they always need little jars for something...

any fun ideas?

they take online orders. They're family owned and you can get fragranced oils for $2.50 per ounce (great quality) and essential oils from $2.50 up to I think $9.00. They have supplies for candles, soaps, lotions, perfumes, colognes, oils and a lot more. Personally I love going to the place because it's a little bitty store and the people are really nice. Here is the website: www.tayloredconcepts.com

I've made perfume and massage cream (using their shea butter and a recipe from their site) with their help before and am waiting for the money to go and get candle supplies!

This is one of the stranger crafts that I've done, but I had to share. I had an Oscar party this year and I wanted some crappy little prizes to give to the people who guessed the winners correctly.

Well, a few days before the party, I found these old Taco Bell chihuahas...

The Oscar dogs )

And just to show that I do real crafts and am not totally insane, here is a hat I knitted my boy. )

**edited to add- I forgot the funniest part. All of the dogs still have their voice boxes, so you have the Frida dog saying, "here leezard, leezard, leezard". It certainly added to the surreal nature of the dogs!

i am hoping someone can help me with my sewing machine.
i turned it on the other day, and it won't sew anything at the proper speed. it like i have it on slow motion or something, it kind of sticks near the top then go a little faster ang sticks again. its a old singer machine, and i am assuming it just needs some sort of ... oiling? or something, but i am not sure. has anyone had this happen to them, and what did you do?! thankyou!

Hi -
I've been an avid watcher of this communty, and now I finally have guts to post. I'm trying to learn how to screen print. I've read the memories section ( which have been very helpful ), but it seems like I can't get it right. I followed the directions that an anomynous user posted; I belive she said she used a embrodiery hoop, tulle, and mod podge. Ok, so this is what i'm doing.. i'm taking the tulle putting it in the embrodiery hoop - tight, sketching my image on the back side, filling the parts that I don't want paint to go through with mod podge, and then putting my paint on the screen and smoothing it out. The problem is that the image is not coming out, it seems like the mod podge is NOT blocking it out. So heres my question: What am I doing wrong? I would really appreciate it if you can help me out. I'm really sorry for annoying you guys with ANOTHER screening question, but i've read the directions over and over and have NO clue what i'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

I just joined this group after seeing it from my cousin. I love crafts and also, I don't know if this could be considered a craft but computer graphics are my artform, but I do sew my own clothes and bags, etc. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make those cute japenese leg warmers?
