Ok. I love audrey hepburn... my mom got these stamps the other day at the post office that are her portrait... I LOVED that guitar that was on here a few weeks ago, but I dont have the money since they are full price 30-whatever stamps AND I don't play guitar... so does anyone have any ideas as to how I could do something to them/with them?

thanks!

theyre the self adhesive sticker kind, by the way.

I made a dog shampoo bar today because both of my dogs have skin conditions and they itch allot. (Eczema)
So here is the recipe...
4oz. MP soap
400 UI vitamin E oil
1 TBS. herbal Shampoo
1/4 tsp. Tea tree EO
1/4 tsp. peppermint EO
If you have it 1/4 tsp. glycerin
Just melt and mix.
The tea tree is an antiseptic and fleas HATE peppermint.

Yesterday I bought a nice nice new stereo. Well, it's not a stereo.. It's one of those.. shelf audio system things. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't explain anything to save my life. Anyway, I bought it with the sole intention of mounting it on my wall, but I spoke to my dad and he said the walls are most definitely too thin. I live in a pretty old townhouse, so I guess it's understandable.

SO.. this is what I'm thinking of doing. I have very little space in my room, so I think I may get a small table of some sort to put under my window (once again I can't explain things), so it needs to be kind of short (almost sitting on the floor but not quite), but long enough that the stereo will fit on it with the speakers. It's kind of wide. I was thinking of buying a table from the thrift store, but my money is gone, so I'm lucky if I have at least 20 bucks. If I do buy a table from the thrift store, I want to decorate it. I want to paint it. How would I go about doing this? Would I sand it first? Would acrylic paints work?

If I can't find a cheap table, I was thinking of making one. There's a dumpster around with a lot of scrap wood in it (hey a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do) so I was thinking of grabbing some from there. However, I have no idea how to go about making a table. I'd probably end up painting this too. Unless the wood is unfinished, I'd probably have to sand it too, right?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Somebody here has recently posted a post of links. I was looking around Craftastic, and there was a bubble good's section (or something like that.) It was basically just the marbles put on different things,

except,

they were PLASTIC. They weren't reflective, bubbly, or opaque. They were PERFECT. WHERE Do these COME FROM?

Hopefully,

i want to decorate the white shoelaces on my navy chucks. I was thinking of using a blue sharpie and drawing stars but i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas?

and is there a place in the Mass South Shore area that maybe sells small iron on stars? Cuz i think that would be better than the sharpie...

ok i was thinking of taking an old pair of shorts (or buying really cheep ones) and rolling up the cuffs so they are straight with the crotch seam and sewing them to make a bag. The problem is i dont know what to use as the strap... i was thinking about using a belt but i would need 2 bc they woldnt be long enuff.. any ideas?

Ohh i also got a pattern to make my homecoming dress... im going to use this satiny black fabric and i want to add some white fabric with litte black polka-dots on it and im not sure how to use it... i was thinking around the bottom to make it look layered. the dress is also strapless but i want to add straps... do u think if i use the polka dot fabric for the straps and the bottom and make a purse out of it, it will look nice?

With my recent purchase of a sewing machine, I have been sewing up a storm. I went to IKEA yesterday, and the fabric there is so nice and too cheap! I made this bag in record time yesterday!

I also have a question on how to make earrings. Would it work to hot glue cute buttons on to backs of earrings (the stud type)? Is fimo good to use for other designs?

And, one last question! I think these craft communities are fantastic, but I find that a lot of people live in the United States, and I am from Canada. Would anyone canadians be interested in a community for canadian crafters and pricing in canadian dollars, and canadian stores? Sometimes I find great things, only to find that the exchange rate is too high! Is there a canadian craft community, or should I make one?

I am ready to buy a brand new sewing machine. but i dont know much about them. my boyfriends mom is going to teach me sewing basics. Can anyone suggest a good place to get a good machine? a place that has good deals. like... should i go to Target? or Sears? or somewhere else? i live in LA/ but work in OC, so any place around there would be best. i have a membership at Costco and they had a Singer that is usually $200 for only $160 but that price ended last week so its back up to $200.

Thx.

So I was driving along one day, when I saw a table by the side of the road. The top was round and about three feet in diameter and the bottom was a giant number 2. After tossing aside the cardboard marked "FREE", I whipped out my tool set and proceeded to take it apart and put it in my trunk. (I probably could have fit it in there intact, I have a pretty big trunk).

It took me a few days to decide what to do with it. The two didn't look too bad-- red with a gold highlight-- but the top was pitiful. It looked like someone had taken lace and spraypainted over it, leaving this icky gold lace-like print over a black surface, or maybe vice-versa. Either way it had to go.

I found a really nifty spray paint by Krylon called Mystique. It leaves an irridecent finish. I decided to go with the blue/purple color and got to work. The 2 is entirely irridecent blue/purple, but the top is black with blue/purple stars from a stencil I fashioned out of cardboard. All in all, it came out pretty rad. I think it will me my new stereo table.

hmm
