My mom posted this in the HGTV message boards and no one read or replied to her post... in her words, she said that she felt very "ignored and unloved" haha because it was her first time posting there. Now, I know that you are all super nice and super creative, so I decided I would bring it over here for YOUR suggestions.

"I am looking for an idea to enclose/cover an ugly two sided shower stall. We have a good size bath with a lovely soaking tub, but the shower stall is rectangular and in one corner, with two glass sides. I would like to use curtains to surround it, but with a cathedral ceiling above it, can't seem to come up with any idea of how to do this. Any ideas?"

an im from my mom:
Mom: that was my post
Mom: nobody even wants to read it

haha please help my mommy! ;)
thanks

Hello!

I finished my bulletin board I've been working on. I'm so excited. http://www.geocities.com/monicascully/pictures.html The bottom brown is a set of pockets. It's the worst picture ever, but that's ok. You get the idea. :D

can anyone recommend a good program for capturing photos with a webcam? just a little freebie program would be fabulous.

hello, all. i have yet another question.

well, my boyfriend loves the fall. so for our anniversary come october - i thought of having some sort of theme. i already am getting him a shirt and some other things. however, you know those plastic jack-o-lanterns that kids use for candy on halloween? i want to make something out of one of those! i could fill it with candy, but that is kind of a last resort. i want to do something - different.

any suggestions?

There are so many different kind of sewing machines out there these days...

I want to buy a sewing machine strictly for making handbags/purses...What is the best sewing machine for that?

Hey!

One of the myriad* of great things about craftiness is the ability to RECYCLE. I am in the midst of sewing some outdated pants into a cute a-line skirt.

So here's my question. I have a sweater that I just love, but it has a stain on it. I have tried everything to get it out, but no dice. Can I CUT the sweater and sew it up with thread or yarn to make a hat, or a bag, or anything? Or will it just unravel completely?

Okay I have two large bolts of tan naugahide. Miles and Miles and Miles of it.... I mean when you hold this stuff up to your ears, you can almost hear pimp music coming out of it.

The problem is, what the heck am I going to do with all of it? Can any of your brilliant crafty minds help me find a fantastic use for this stuff?

has anyone seen the pottery barn teen catalog? I've never ordered anything from them but we started getting their catalog randomly. I'm totally in love with their products and most of them (besides the furniture) look totally craftable! If you need any ideas for gifts or different stuff for your bedroom you should check it out. http://www.pbteen.com/ although the site doesn't load on my pooter for some reason.

My sister is married to a French man, and they do a lot of wine drinking, so I made them wine glasses and charms for their housewarming gifts...

I just painted the front of a leather-covered photo album with acrylics. It's going to be a memory book for my brother to use to document his move to Florida. Now that the paint is dry I'm realizing how easily it could be scraped off. What can you guys recommend that I could use to protect the paint? Would clear acrylic spray do it?

So, it seems silly to be excited about this, but a friend of ours had a birthday and she wanted to go to this place called Ceramica where you paint pottery and then they fire it up and you take it home a couple of days later. I grabbed a sushi plate, and sat there, struggling with my inner demons that tell me I can't draw with my hands. I get so freaked out by permanent things like canvas, or paper, or... sushi plates. You know, where there's no "undo" button to backtrack once I fuck up. So I sit there, generally, afraid to make a move so I don't "waste" something if it doesn't come out perfect. I've been trying to relax about art lately - and stop trying to compare myself to all those fantastically talented people out there who aren't me, and just have fun with the skillset I do have. Anyway - the result of relaxing was the first piece of non-computer-based tangible art that I've ever done that I actually like.

Fun. :)

Any info/websites/suggestions for freehand machine embroidering, mostly monogramming. I am having problems with my brother sewing machine, and I followed the instructions exactly. It recommends using no presser foot, and use the darning. I'm thinking that it just doesn't work because not using the foot? Any ideas?
