My fun, latest spinnings! I'm hoping I get to spin more today too. Whew!

Warms and greens I'm dreaming of Fall cancha tell?

Perhaps Winter too... It's REALLY hot up here in my house.

I'm new here. *wave*

And I'm wondering if you guys have any suggestions on what to do with a few old too-small belts? I checked the memories, and didn't see this... if it's there, and I'm just stupid, feel free to kick me. <3

I have been an extremely busy girl and have not had a chance to take pictures of these clothes or even had someone around to take pictures of them. So here they are. The pictures arent all that great if you would like to see a better picture of one of the items please let me know. I can work something out. All of these clothes have been altered or made from scratch by me. Most of the items were made of old t-shirts or shirts while a few others were made from pants and shorts or even bed sheets.

hi everyone. i love this place. this would be my first post here. i dont have a digital camera so i havent been able to share any of my creations. i have a question fopr you ladies, my friend recently was given a ceramic water crock dispenser thing that is absolutely hideous. it looks similar to the one below, but it has some really lame Christmas picture on it. santa, and an elf or something. well as soon as i saw it i knew i had to come to the rescue. i want to snazz it up a bit. i think decoupage will be the easiest and best solution. will the coveted modge podge work on this glossy, ceramic pot? should i use something else? heres the type of pot it is. no stand though

water dispenser

also, i have a question for gluing metal. i tried to decoupage onto an altoids tin and it looks okay, but right on the edge of the picture i glued on there is rust. its not too noticable, but i want to sell some of my creations, so it needs to be clean. any help would be appreciated. thanks galsies!

I love making my own clothes, so I decided this year I would sew a new school wardrobe rather than buying one. I don't have much done yet, but I'm proud of what I've finished so far. ^^; So proud, in fact, that I'm willing to take the plunge and make my first post here.

Hi, does anyone here know if it's possible to soft-solder tin plated steel?

Thank you very much!

Someone recently posted a purse made out of construction paper and packing tape. I have searched through old entries and the FAQ section and can't find it. I was wondering if who ever posted instructions could do it again.

Today was filled with flip flop madness!
Heres a real shotty picture of the ones I finished.

They used to have paul frank monkeys on them. But were really faded and dirty.

So I washed them really good, then slathered gesso on them. Painted with acrylics, and sealed with a gloss varnish.

they're not that stiff either. really spongey still, and not faded and dirty.

:)

uh oh. i x posted

This is my first post, I have watched this community for a couple years now. I like doing all sorts of crafts, painting, drawing, scrapbooking, Rubber stamping, just about anything!

Recently I have been helping a friend make Lanyards with crystal beads. She is going to do a 60 mile walk for Breast Cancer later this summer. So she is doing some fund raising for this event.

This is how it started... )

My friend has made bracelets and necklaces using the charm her husband made. Cancer awareness is a big part of their lives, she lost her Mother 11 years ago to Breast Cancer, then her husband lost his Mother two years ago to Breast Cancer. So this is a big deal to them, and I feel good helping them.

Happy Crafting!

Hi, since everyone was so nice the last time I posted I thought I'd show what I made for my goddaughters. I only get to see them a few times a year so I gave them these to take home to remind them of me. clayish )

i know there's a ton of duct tape stuff out there, but wanted to share anyway:

I basically made it the same way I did my packaging tape wallet (shown here) except the card pockets open on the sides instead of the top and I used velcro instead of the closure.  Also, I decided to use a clear window for my ID.
