Alright, I've got this t-shirt with a slash through it, right smack dab in the front.
Is there anyway to fix it?
I'm thinking something like that fusable interfacing, or whatever it's called, that webbing stuff you iron onto fabric to stiffed and fuse two pieces? Is there any sort of stitch I could do that would work, and not break when the shirt is stretch and be too visible?
Or is it a lost cause?
It's regular stretchy t-shirt material, and the cut is like...3 inches long, under the left breastreal side.

Here is the pattern for the cat ears as requested (my first pattern, so keep that in mind):

About a month ago, I saw one of those Capri Sun purses for sale in this little purse/candle/ect. store they just recently opened and I fell in LOVE with it. So I found a tutorial online on how to make one and got around to trying it finally, I'm pleased with it. ^__^ It beats paying $20 for one haha. I messed up a bit twords the top on the sides but it's nothing TOO bad, but for a first it didn't turn out so bad.

Making it was fun, drinking them all wasn't! XD )

So yeah, that was fun. :) Tomorrow I'm going to try and make a purse from an actual pattern...meep. The last time I tried it, I got really confused and totally messed it up, I think I know what to do this time around though. Wish me luck!

hi....

i had a really productive and day... using ONLY things found around my house!(not exactly 'average household items', just previously purchased crafty things.) i started out by making some wings....

wire and black nylons. not as symmetric as i wanted once i put the nylons on so i quickly and crummily finished them up. perhaps i will decorate them/fix the elastic later.

more pictures... of those wings, and other wings! and a memo board. and kitties, too. )

i just joined this community and wanted to share a couple of recent projects.

so, here's what i've been doing today. i finished up part of my boy's
birthday gift (i always go crazy and get him a ton of stuff). i can never
wait to give gifts, though, so i gave it to him early. hee hee

he reads while he waits for me to get off work, so i thought this
would be a perfect little something. you matrix fans (hopefully) will
recognise this...it's not the easiest thing in the world to cross-stitch.
:D

Again, all my crafts have been yarn related.

I've spent the last month knitting this bland tank top. I ended up adding some fake cabling to the front to make it more interesting to make, and to the eye.

Alright ladies and gents! Here are the cd coasters, as promised. I have yet to come up with time enough to put the lacquer on them and the bottoms. So these photos show cds with collages on them, mod podged over. Some are shiny, I apologise, it was hard to photograph the shiny finish without sacrificing detail.

follow me! WARNING big images inside! )

I'm thinking of starting a UK crafts distro, since there seems to be a bit of a gap in the market. At the moment I'm just looking for people who would be interested in submitting crafts of any kind, zines on a craft / diy leaning, or zines made by UK zinesters.

I don't even know if I'm going to set it up yet, it all depends on the amount of interest, and the amount of people with something they are interested in submitting. Therefore, I need responses. Anyone with anything they would like to submit, please contact me at killerkittensdistro@hotmail.com with a brief explanation of what the item is, your wholesale price, and a suggested retail price.

I shall get back to everyone in due course, when I decide if there is enough interest to go ahead with the project!

Many thanks!

- Vicki

My dad owns a sign company and the material that he uses comes on these cardboard tubes that are like 15" high and have walls about 1/2" thick. He has at least 50 and just throws them away because he has no use for them and they company doesnt accept them back. SO i was thinking of something i could do with them but there hasnt been any ideas at all so i was wondering if yous could think of some uses....thanks in advance!!

I think i'm going to go back to walmart and get a new clock that's black instead and hope that i don't break it this time ;D

Does anyone know if you can get paper with seeds embedded in (like at http://www.greenfieldpaper.com) in the UK? Or do you think it would be pretty straightforward to add seeds when making your own paper?

a while ago i made a post about how i'm planning on making my best friend a cookbook for her birthday. some of you gave the wonderful idea of adding some non-food recipes to the book. (beauty recipes for scrubs and stuff like that.) i plan on adding those in as well. (thanks for the ideas guys!)now i'm just wondering what i can do to make the actually pages more interesting. so far i just plan on drawing pictures to go along with the directions, and adding in funny stories and stuff. any ideas to make this cookbook more interesting and more than just your normal cookbook would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys!
