I have had this doll house since I was six. I started putting primer on it a year ago and only just got it back from where I last lived. This is a before photo. Unfortunately the front cross broke :( But I think I can fix it so it wont be noticable.

I'll update as I go.

my newest project: a macrame beaded bracelet made with all glass beads (one cloissone bead) and waxed linnin thread- there may be more to come. (great little project i did while watching celebrity poker showdown last night and the carrol duvall show this morning) shuffle up and deal )

also- picture of an apron dress i made while ago and don't really wear b/c i feel too nekkid in it (thus the pillow model). so i'm going to alter to be more of a true apron style dress to be worn over a shirt and pants/skirt. it's about knee length on me. you do the bakin' and i'll do the makin' )

hey guys! sorry for the text only post.but i was wondering if anyone knew any good websites for really really inexpensive craft supplies (ie. beads/beading supplies/sequins/ribbon..that sort of thing)
ive found one or two, but one was wholesale and not good on my budget. The other was good, but im looking for more.
I go to the local craft store in town, and Michaels often.. but im sort of sick of seeing the same things over and over.
Note: im on a tight budget.. sort of. And i cant pay too much for these things, so the cheapest websites you can find are great.

Thanks in advanced!!

Quick question, I'm in love with piped coats (a la Marc by Marc) with big buttons and I have a thrift store coat I want to add piping to. How do I do this without:

a) tearing out all the seams and then adding piping, resewing, and possibly ruining it or

b) just attatching the piping to the wrong side for a very unprofessional effect whenever a hem turns over and everybody can see the raw edge of the piping.

*confused*

I'm trying to buy some larger metal square buckles, the type on the toes of men's shoes in a pirate or buccaneer costume, and also at the bottom of the knickers that a male buccaneer or pirate would wear. (Guess what sort of costume I'm working on!)
I've checked the faq, googled various combos, and bizarrely enough I can't find anything! I know there must be some great accessory store or buckle seller on the web that's eluding me. Any advice?

These are pretty small and poor examples, but you can see the buckles on the shoes here and also here.

Many thanks, craftgrrls & boys!

i need black tissue paper but i can't seem to find it in stores. where am i not looking?

i need a clean cork. can't use one from a wine bottle and i don't really want to buy a whole bag of them since i only need one. are there places that sell singles or very small bags? OR do you have any other ideas as to what i could stop up a glass bottle with? (it's a funky bottle i wanted to fill with colored water and give as a gift)

i have become totally obsessed with the prozac rosary.

i have a friend who is sending me (i hope it actually makes it through the mail to me!) a bottle's worth of effexor to make my own with. i know i need to give them a protective coating if i'm not going to put it in a box and leave it for the rest of eternity and i'd like to actually be able to wear it.

what would you reccomend i use? i'd prefer something that would spray on. it would be easier and it seems like it would dry before they soak it all up and fall apart.

also, what would be the best way to put holes in them? i have a drill, but the bit is stuck in it and it's probably too large for this.

ruffles!

Hi.

I have 3 aquariums... 50, 10, and 10 slim. Other than get more pets... is there anything creative I can do with them? I will eventually turn the 50 into a fish tank, but until then I want to know if I can do something with them other then have them sit in my diningroom taking up space. Thanks! Oh, I will probably get more pets along the way so anything ceative cannot be permenant (sp?).
