I love the art work of Mary Engelbreit and would like to use it on a skirt design for myself and not to sell. I was wondering if any of you ladies knew what the best book that I could get of hers that has mostly art work and almost no writting except in the art work. This is a crafty post because I plan to make the images into iron ons if I find alot of great photos. A already made a dress out of one of her black fabric with cherries, scottie dogs, home, love, family, friends. If ya'll could be of assistance it would be greatly appriciated. *= )

I acquired over 90 Beanie Babies from my late grandmother. I've kept them for years out of respect for her, but they take up a lot of room (still being stored at my parents' house) and Beanie Babies were never really my thing. I researched/catalogued them and tried selling them on eBay multiple times, but there's absolutely no interest in Beanies anymore. I was wondering if anyone here had any crafty ideas as to what I can do with them? So far, I've come up with:

1. gutting them, adding a zipper, and making little change purses
2. gutting them and somehow sewing them together and making a big creepy quilt out of Beanie pelts

I dunno if I have the heart to tear those cute little toys to shreds, though :P

Today I went to a craft show, and the only decent thing there was a women with a stall selling woven flax kete (bags) and other such things, including this bangle that I bought and then tried to replicate.

Mmmkay, as you might have read in my last post; I'm making a ((sea nymph/faerie/mermaid/whatever)) costume for the renaissance faire. I've managed to braid/knot myself a belt out of hemp twine to wear around the waist of my dress, and I intend to string plexi-glass corked vials of coloured water and shells from it.

Which leads to my question:

How exactly would I drill holes in shells? I know you can buy them pre-drilled at stores by the beach, however I live in Minnesota ((ugh)) and there's no beach near by. All the shells I have are from visits to the ocean when I was little, and I'd like to use them.

Any ideas? Any help is welcomed and appreciated. <3

i know it doesn't look like much, but these were all very time consuming. :) gifts and orders i've been working on these past few days -- armwarmers (pattern by [livejournal.com profile] isolt, sushi squishies and sushi magnets, and mr. loco coco & baby nana squishies! i turned the chopsticks into a magnet too (those of course, aren't crocheted, lol).

now that i've got all that out of the way, i can finally start knitting up my scarf of bernat galaxy mars yarn! ^_^

I've been wanting to make jewelery for a while but haven't gotten to the store until today. So, I made my first pair of earrings.

Okay.
I got the pictures of the stuff resesized and what not. People on dial-up, beware. I have something like 34 pictures to show...They aren't all huge, but they are not all small either.
Just warning ya.
