Hey guys, I've never posted before, but I thought I'd show my little melted snowman guy.

I suddenly felt inspired to break out the Sculpey

So, I made a skirt to wear to see the Lion King. It was a rather hurried skirt, I didn't have time to sew on clasps, so I ended up finishing up a hem while inside the skirt, it was adventerous. However, the skirt held up, and looked pretty.

Hurrah! :)

Completely handsewn, out of nothing but a bolt of brown corderoy fabric, some striped fabric, and some ribbon. I'm proud of myself, really.

Look, Mom! No pattern! )

I made these cute Halloween earrings the other day. I have some snowflakes to make later in the season to give as little gifts to my friends, as well.
Picture behind the cut because it's kind of large.

I am really behind on my posting! I'll try to catch up this weekend, perhaps.

this little thing came out of sheer boredom and an extra roll of tape. i apologize for the shoddy picture but the sun has gone done and purple insists on photographing like ass with the flash. (by the way this is paperishkitten of the many many duct tape bags. just had a little name change)

duct tape as usual - except the staples holding the bow on.

Ok, so a while back I posted about wanting to make a Marilyn Monroe purse for my friend for her birthday.

I bought the purse at a thrift store for 6$.. it's shiny vinyl.  I'm kind of wondering what to do with it now.

Here it is )

My new hat:

This is the kittyville pattern, but I left off the ear flaps and made bear ears instead, since I'm not a cat lover. I also used bulky yarn and it knit up really quick and is really cozy.

Hey! I have a small hole in the crotch of a pair of my jeans that I'm trying to fix. I can't sew because of where it is...I was looking at patches but all I can see is that I'd have to iron it on um..well, backwards? So that the 'sticky' side would be facing through the hole. I've also seen this stuff where you put the edges together and put the liquid on and it keeps them together like glue, but I'm not sure how good that works. I'm just trying to keep this hole from getting any bigger, it's like a small hole created from being worn so many times. Any other ideas?

Bookmakers?

Im looking for an individual or established company that makes custom wedding albums. Id rather find someone that is into DIY & crafts and is just starting out, but I would really need someone reliable so that i can continue to offer a certain style of album and not have to worry about not being able to get another made when i need to. Im thinking, something handbound, two or three different styles, one with those antique black corners to the photos.... so if you know anyone or a good link, please send it my way.

is anyone else having trouble accessing the memories?

Question is... should I change the picture? I was thinking of apples, strawberries, whales, popsicles... totally random things. I'm not sure what just yet.

Christmas is coming! I was just thinking about how I'm going to get my mom to make some Christmas ornaments with her scroll saw to give to my boyfriend's family. My question is, what's a neat way I could wrap them all up? I'll have to send it in the mail so whatever I do, it can't be too big or heavy. I was hoping I could find some way to do it by sewing, since that's my main crafty thing, but I can't think of anything. Of course anything not involving sewing will be fine too. I have this pretty sturdy box that some perfume came in, I'm guessing I could use that and make it spiffy...but yes, suggestions for anything please. :)

Also, another question. I've seen people do that applique stuff (I *think* that's what it's called) with the pieces of cut-out felt with lines sewed on to make it look neat, and they put them on purses and whatnot. Are there any patterns or at least like...pictures of a lot of those type things so I could get some ideas? I really want to try something like that but I'm not near creative enough to come up with something like that on my own. I could make a smiley face but that's about it hahah.
