the scarf is done! I had to trek to Pearl Art today to get an extra skein of yarn. I'm going to felt it right now, but what do you think, fringe or no fringe? Keeping in mind the fringe is going to be white, and this is for a boy/rockstar. The scooter will be added on later.

tonight i made this miniature ouija board for my pullips. im not sure exactly who they expect to summon. maybe all the barbies cruelly beheaded over the years? im extra proud of the little planchette.

You guys are totally going to beat me stupid... Now that I have The Snort, though, I just can't help sewing like mad.  I made another wallet...

The fabrics remind me of Moulin Rouge.  Maybe I'm just retarded. )

I am so in love with these fabrics!  Especially the wrinkly one.  I'm going to order about ten trillion more swatches of them from smithandnoble.com WOO!!

Oh - and i want to do a really neat looking clasp that will match the fabrics well instead of doing ugly velcro. any ideas?

Post Script - I promise that I'll wait until i make more than one thing, expecially if it's a wallet (hehe), to post next. I just can't help myself. :)

Hi all,
since I sell my toys I'm not really prepared to give away the pattern.
Since I got an email from a girl with a very good idea I will put the pattern up for sale in my store later this week (the toys will be there too) once I sort out what sort of creative commons it comes under since I don't want people to sell them.
thanks for your respect.
Jen

Hi
oops not allowed to mention selling info in the post - sorry
[identity profile] evilpeach.livejournal.com
hmm... I have some things that I have no idea what to do with:

egg dye (for easter eggs) I don't really want to dye eggs, would this work on something else?

20-esque no.2 pencils... I use mechanical pencils so these I don't like to use, what could I do with these?

1,000(about) paperclips... from my artproject (http://www.livejournal.com/users/evilpeach/130757.html) what to do with these!??!

I don't know.. I have a lot of things I know what to do with, but these things... no idea, and they are just taking up space.

nothing crafty going on in my life right now :( I'm so busy with school and work... *SUPER SAD FACE*

Anyone know of any good freezer paper stencil tutorials? I was trying to stick something to shirt with CRAPPY IRON ON TRANSFERS FROM HELL and it didn't work. The directions are even crappier than the paper, so I've decided to bail and go with stenciling.

My boyfriend just gave me an mp3 player for my birthday, and I was so excited that I stayed up half the night making a case for it!

Also it was my dance partner's birthday last week, and I had this nifty idea for a birthday card.

I was looking through a catalouge and found this really neat stuff that you can dip the ends of your pliers in so that they don't damage your metal. Anyone know a cheap way to make this? It's kinda like wax but it's way heavy duty so it doesn't just flake off.

Hey dudes and dudettes. I'm thinking about going allout and just sewing and crafting my ass off and then making a website on which to sell it all on.
So my question is how to go about selling it.
Should I just make and eBay account? or some sort of PayPal arrangement? I'm only 17, so I don't know if not being legal will affect what I can and can't do. If need be I can just get my mom or someone to make the account or something. Or I'm open to lying.
Please advise me my crafting superiors.

I'm a guy trying to make a shirt using a simplicity pattern. I cut the pieces out and folded my fabric as shown on the pattern instructions.(matching the selvages) I laid the pattern piece over the fabric, and the piece sticks out farther than my fabric. There is another layout that shows the pieces on a piece of fabric that isn't folded, but it shows 2 of the pieces being on there, and i only have one. One is printed side down and the other is printed side up. Could someone explain this a little better to me?

I bought a bunch of rub on transfers the other day and I’m having trouble with them. This is the first time I’ve ever used these so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. My first attempt came out wonderful but every other one I’ve tried after that hasn’t. I’ve been trying to transfer them onto paper but then when it comes time to peel off the plastic backing part off, the transfer and the paper I was attaching it to come with it. I’ve been using the little Popsicle stick thingy that the transfers came with to rub them on. Am I maybe not rubbing them hard enough or something? Anybody else ever have this problem? I’m new to this so I’m completely clueless.

I have to say I love this community. This is my first post ever. I sell these scarves around Pittsburgh, PA and back home (Clarion, PA). I use Colinette Enigma yarn. The color featured is Florentina, but I've gotten my hands on almost all their beautiful colors.

what on earth can I do with organza and voile swatches? They're so pretty, but I can't think of anything. :(

a while back i posted some fairy pendants i made from plastic novelty magnifying glasses.  i turned them into... i'm not sure what to call them... lets just say charms.  the intended use is to be worn on a purse, zipper, a metal or fabric loop (like on pants), a keychain, a necklace.... pretty much anywhere.  i'm also thinking about making them longer so they can be worn as bracelets, what do you think?

I am making another post about the girl scout patches. I have patches held for people but they never sent their mailing address. The follow people have patches held from me:

- betharoonie
- snowwand
- talisa
- ambiguousness
- then the young die

The names may be from email addresses or from livejournal usernames. Please check and email me at: pushmybuttons@gmail.com with your mailing address so i can get rid of these patches!

Quick question. Anyone know where to purchase "Le Fibre Nobili/Plymouth Yarns Imperiale", or how much it costs per skein? I've been searching various yarn shops & google and can't find a place that sells it or has a price listed.

Thanks. <3 <3 <3

I've been promising to make my cousin a skirt for the longest time; she bought fabric for it, and I finally made it this week. That started my skirt-making frenzy: I've made five this week! Here's one that's a little older. It's made of silk, netting, and silk cherry blossoms.

There are two more under the cut. )

*tries to hide under something* I know if i post this a certain someone will have a fit about it, but i don't care. I love bright eyes and there is nothing she can do about it. I did this with a cardstock stencil, cut out with a box cutter (i left my exacto knife at school) and some spray on fabric medium. I'm decently happy with the results, and when it dries, i'm putting lyrics on the back. Read more... )<lj-cut)

Several months ago someone posted a hilarious Cthulhu plush she made -- it had a pink bow and a little bonnet. I searched for the post, but couldn't find it to save my life.

Does the craftly lady who made that plush -- or any other crafty ladies for that matter -- have that or any Cthulhu plush pattern available to share or buy? I'd really like to make one, but I've searched high and low and couldn't find a pattern.

So my screen printing cherry just got broken. cough. It didn't go so well. The screen came out wonderfully, but it's just the matter of the shirts.
The ink isn't evenly distributing, and I think it's because I'm not applying enough pressure or doing it on a hard enough surface. Are my guesses correct? Help me, screen printing gurus!
Factors:
-I am using a window squeegee from the dollar store
-I am printing on cardboard, which is on top of carpet

p.s. these are being made for a Decemberists Message Board kickball game this tuesday/wednesday.
50% of the money made will go to the Instrument Fund to help replace about $10,000+ worth of equipment stolen last week when they were getting ready to leave on tour. http://www.decemberists.com/fund.html if you want to donate.

i've asked many questions in this community, but hardly post pix. well, here's a pic of something i didn't make...

i asked my mum to make me a shoulder bag out of fake fur, because i can't sew. i had originally wanted this crazy long red monster fur, but the material was pretty expensive, and i saw this totally awesome tiger fun fur, which we got about 2 m of at 70% off because there were some dirty spots.

oh, roar is me... )

Okay, so here are some of my crocheted things. I made a whole poo-load of baby layettes last year when everyone and their sister were having babies. The baby sets included one of these sweaters, and a pair of coordinating booties and bonnet. Also, in the spirit of [livejournal.com profile] hellebelle's bunnies...a bonus photo of my boo-boo kitty.
