Real quick, please. I just bought these in white and cream. Do you think I can dye the white one with black rit dye? And which method should I use?

I also just got a TON of fake tattoos from work and wondered if there was any crafty things to do with them? Has anyone tried applying them to like plastic or wooden surfaces and sealing them?

Thanks guys...you rock!

First things first: I have a substantial amount of a vintage 1980s character-print cotton, except that I really have no idea what the character is. I'm 95% certain he's from Strawberry Shortcake, but I never watched the show that much as a kid and I've completely missed the boat as far as its recent popularity goes -- but that little pink kitty looks mighty familiar. And I though you nice folks could help me out.

You guys rock! It's Huckleberry Pie and lil' Custard!

My girlfriend wants to get a Bedazzler or the GeMagic for her daughter...

Which one is the better product?

Which one is the easiest to use?

Any help here is greatly appreciated! THANK YOU!

Apologies for yet another text-only post. Once my camera comes back from the Fuji hospital I will post pics of everything I've been doing :-)

Here's my deal: my sorority is building a small house that's a sort of tribute to/embodiment of the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour, as part of a charity carnival where all the Pittsburgh kids come and do all this cool stuff for free. I've been assigned the "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" room. I was thinking of having a ton of "diamonds" hanging from the sky, but I don't know what I could use for that. Does anyone know of some sort of plastic doohickey that looks diamond-ish that we could buy maybe 40 of and suspend from the ceiling? Does anyone have other ideas? Should we hang "Lucy" in the sky too? We're strapped for ideas. We'll take anything.

Thanks :-)

Hello again! Quick question - does anyone know what will take super/crazy glue off of a wood table surface? Some costume prop crafting got out of hand last night and I now have white glue circles/smears on the kitchen table. I'd like to get it off before I have to explain why its there... Thanks muchly for any help! (There's nothing on the glue packaging that says anything about "oops" removal... ^_^;;)

Okay, I'm not quite sure if my query is appropriate. If it's not, let me know and I will delete it.

This is for all the awesome crafgrrls out there who make a decent profit selling their stuff.

Is Etsy worth it??

I know there's a fee to post stuff, and a percentage of the overall selling price that Etsy takes.

So is it worth it?

And sorry for the text-only post. I'll have TONS of stuff a week or two from now to post thanks to spring break.

Images pulled from the Bunny comic

These are photos of a set of four tumblers etched. Two were etched with a Buddha image, the other two were etched with the Chinese characters for "Gratitude" and "Love."

Glass etching tutorial should be in the memories, additional questions/suggestions can be directed to [myusername]@hotmail.com.

Hi everyone! I have a question, and I was pointed to try here.

I am looking at having custom handbags made with Photos on them. Pretty much like Gina Alexander makes. I want to be able to offer something like this to my clients (I'm a photographer), but I can't see charging the prices I would need to charge to cover the GA bags.

I looked around and found that there are premade fabric sheets that you can feed through your printer. They seems pretty easy to use, and they are not that expensive. Problem is, there are so many reviews that are both good and bad and I am not sure what to think.

Has anybody here ever tried any of these products?

June Tailor Washable Colorfast Printer Fabric
Printed Treasures Printer Fabric Sheets Sew-In

or do you have any other suggestions? I found a site that tells how to do it yourself, but if the fabric sheets are easy and have good results, I would rather do it that way.

Any help you have would be awesome!
Thanks

So, I snagged a knifty knitter for $7 at Micheal's and I started whipping up scarfs like nothing eles, and I've been having fun doing it.

My friend wants me to make him a hat, so I'm going to be doing that in the near future, but I'm kind of iffy about it since I never did anything but scarfs, and those you can stop when ever, hats are another story, so adivce is loved.

Anyway, check out my scarfs.

My husband and I were given some furniture.
So, since it didn't match our other stuff,
we refurnished it. I'm showing the before and after pictures,
and writing about the process of refurnishing them.

When I first arrived at craftgrrl, oh those many months ago, one of the first things I came across was [livejournal.com profile] kickandslide's AWESOME handmade felt book she had made for her daughter. I was amazed and impressed and knew this was something I wanted to do for my wee lad. I set forth. Now mind you this was way back in September that I started this project and I just finished it TODAY. Not only am I challenged with the fact that I can really only work on projects when Matty is in bed or my husband is home, I totally have ADD when it comes to crafting and many projects have been started and completed in these past months while the poor felt book was put aside, then worked on, then put aside, then worked on, then put aside. Sigh. But today was the day! It is done and it is awesome and I love it and I think the chicken likes it too. That's what I'm telling myself anyways, because it was a lot of hard work!

Okay, phew, I'm rambling so here we go with the pictures already.

I made this felt peanut magnet today:

IMGP0789

I plan on making more as pins and magnets. This was my first time doing anything similar to embroidery so I'm sure the ones I make in the future will be better.

I also got 2 meters of this really cute fabric today for ¥399 per metre.
IMGP0791

It's kind of heavy, like a linen almost. I was thinking of making a knitting bag or even saving it to make pillows for my future children, as pathetic as that is. Do any of you talented folks have any other suggestions?

These were inspired by a post on Craftster. I actually made one of these, too (and just looking back at it realized I used the same Discover card for mine), but I don't have pictures of it yet. (I have a feeling I'll be posting again soon.)

Mini-books! From office supplies and ribbon! Unnecessary exclamation! )

Just a jewelry set I made last night:

A not so successful foray into wire-wrapping:

If anyone could give tips on wire-wrapping I'd appreciated it, I love the look, but it's not as easy as I thought it would be.
