Hey all!

I'm a total newbie here so hi! I'm gee, 23 from Scotland. Basically I've been thinking about doing some tie-dying and I don't have a clue what kind of dye to buy? Can I just get any kind, or does it need to be a specific brand etc?

Hope someone can help!

Thanks

I have a question so I'll keep it short 'n sweet:

Can you use a bank debit card to open a Paypal account? Like one that isn't sponsered by a credit card, and has a 4-digit PIN? Because I don't have a credit card or checks, instead I use a debit card for my checking account. But Paypal asks me for this verification number on my checks... but I don't have checks. Can anyone help me out?

I just wanted to thank all of the folks who recommended ideas for bags and/or toting the boxes for shoppers at the convention. :) I think I am going to go with the ribbon-handle idea - it's going to save me a lot of money. Whee!

That said, here are three more clay doodles. 3 large images )

I'm sorry this is text only, my sewing machine is on the blink, which leads me to this...

I was in Joann's today and noticed a new line of machines, Huskystar by Husqvarna.

Does anyone have any of the sewing machines? Or maybe know anything about them? They seem reasonably priced, within my budget, but I'm not sure it'll be enough of a machine for the longterm.

If you can offer any info, that would be great.

Of if not on these machines, any others that you recommended that are in the $300-400 range.

Mostly I make bags and accessories, but I also make clothing and do re-constructs. Since I'll be doing high-volume in the bag dept, I really need a solid machine, that will last and last. But it can be basic, I don't need fancy bells & whistles.

Thank you very much for any and all recommendations, assistance, info, experience, whathaveyou.

Cheers!!

whenever I hem a skirt or pants, my edges get this 'roll over' effect, even if I pin it. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Am I doing something wrong? I would like my skirts and dresses etc to start looking more professional, so this MUST be fixed! lol

So a couple weeks ago I got my sewing machine fixed that has never worked as long as I've had it. (I've had it for like, 4 years, but it's my aunt's ex mother in-law's old machine so I don't know how old it actually is...)

Anyway, before that, I was sewing all by hand. It was a pain in the ass but very rewarding when things turned out nice.
So beware. There are maaaannnnnnyyyyyy pictures, pre and post sewing machine repair.

I need an idea for a school project. can someone help me?? (sorry for all of the writing)

okay its for my computers/technology class. I need to make a 3D object using computer parts. ( I know my teacher is a cycko) It also has to have some sort of theme. For example, my teacher had 4 white boxes from inside the computer and they were labeled US, CHINA, ENGLAND, AUSTRAILA and they all had wires connnecting them . So his "theme" was how the internet can connect the world together

im stuck on ideas and need some help. thanks!
