I have this idea in my head of a hookah pipe type affair that instead of sucking on to smoke, you blow into it and it blows bubbles.

I think it would be great but I can't seem to find one online anywhere or what I really what which is instructions to make something like it.

Any ideas anyone?

Alright, since now I know we're allowed to ask questions about selling our stuff (just not sell it here), I have one.
I know you can't sell things made from a pattern (like sewing, knitting, etc), but if you use molds from the store or an online store or something to make soap, can you sell that soap? I would think that's allowed, but maybe not?
Thanks!
PS - And I have a TON of pictures I need to take, upload, and whatnot, and I promise I shall do that this weekend!

My boyfriend's aunt makes gorgeous jewelry so I made this journal for her today. She (or I) will be updating it with new pieces as she creates them. All of her work is absolutely gorgeous. She only uses precious stones and real silver and you can tell by the quality of her results.

There are more here: [livejournal.com profile] sejewelry. Please check them out!

I've searched Craigslist, googled my brains out and looked in every local paper. How do you all find local small scale craft shows to get involved with for the holidays??? I know there's gotta be a handful of churches out there doing this... especially in Seattle.

help please.

I have an empty egg carton I'm interested in crafting with. Normally, we throw these out, or make fire starters (you fill a cup with wax, and stick a "wick" of carton in it) with them. Does anybody have any other suggestions?

EDIT: And yes, I've checked the memories. There wasn't anything I saw.

Hello everyone! I'm brand new here and I can't express how glad I am I found you guys XD Crafts rock my socks, especially clothes modification. I'm a plus-size girl and I can never find things I like (they're always too boring!) so this is a god send! XD Well...here we go...

Okay, so my last one got deleted because of the "gift idea" question that was included in the post. So here's a shoe-only post and a question to those who have done collage on shoes...

This is just regular origami paper and modpodge. I don't want to wear them in the rain, so I don't need them to be waterproofed. But just as far as sealing them with something to make the paper stay on longer...someone had suggested a polyeurothane (sp?) spray. I just wanted to get some feedback from others who have sprayed their shoes with it. Were they impossible to walk in after that? I've worn these a few times now, and they're still comfy. I'm afraid of adding anything that will make them incredibly stiff.

I did some new pendants and I just LOVE how they look, they are clay double sided (which I love that way you don't have to worry about your pendant spinning and showing the back off) and hand painted with metallic and copper paints and sealed with three coats of glossy finish which makes the iridescent paints really glitter and sparkle. If anyone wants to see a larger picture of a specific side just let em know. :)

My SO is almost finished painting his new office, and is looking for window shade fabric that appears speckled, like his desk. It's various greys, and looks like someone used a toothbrush to speckle the different colors on top of each other. We've been to a few fabric stores (Jo-Ann, Rag Shop) and I've also Googled "speckled fabric" with no real success.

If anyone can give me a heads-up on where I might find fabric like this (type of material is less of a deal, but he's got a specific "look" in his head), I'd greatly appreciate it.

I made the flower out of old scraps I found lying around. Added some lace and such. Then I sewed a silk flower onto it. And attached everything with a cute little button.

i have a kenmore sewing machine
it was given to me by a friend
i do not have the booklet that came with it

for some reason i'm getting all kinds of troubles
i can no longer sew NOW (of the many times i couldn't sew)
because the top thread goes into the bobbin area and gets stuck.
i kno wi inserted the bobbin right
i had to do it a million times for the bobbin to finally work

before THIS was when the bobbin thread was sewing a mass of thread to the bottom of whatever i was sewing
and now this

i'm really frustrated and tired of all of this
anybody can tell me anything?
i couldn't quite find either of these problems in the faq
i found some that sorta reslembled the mass, but not so much

Okay, so I have a TON of muslin (well, about 6 yards of it to be exact -- I think). Originally, I was going to make a room divider, but when I went to make the frames, I realised that I would have to spend about $50 plus on the wood and that was more than I wanted to spend so I scraped the idea.
Now, in the meantime, I have a bunch of muslin hanging around and I don't know what to do with it. Any ideas/suggestions?
