haha... Hello! Long time since my last post, but I just was clearing off my digital camera disk from before I moved, and decided I should share the photos of my not-quite-latest crafty creations with you all!

(BEWARE!! LOTS OF PICTURES!!)

I got myself into a swap of Cow-themed goodies for [livejournal.com profile] macaron on Swapstuff, but have since lost contact with her, it seems. I'm debating whether to put this stuff up for swap with someone else or not and wait longer for her to reply. It was sort of months ago, though, so I'm not sure.

Well at any rate, Cows Ahoy! )

Also, there was an anime convention a few months ago, during which there was to be a Masquerade ball! My sister and her boyfriend wanted to go, and I did too until I changed my mind... And so I set to work making us all some Masquerade Masks! )

Enjoy! :)

ok so I've looked EVERYWHERE but I can't find out if you can take out the ink off of the shirt after you screenprint on it. So when you do a screen and mess up.. did you just totally screw up the shirt? or is there a way to wash out the ink and start over again?

how do you fix the mess ups? I just screwed up two shirts.. no three.. stupid little mistakes like a half faded print and one that splotched everywhere.

so anyone have any input on this?

did you mess up? and what did you do to fix it?

THANKS!

Those who know me know that this is just an anomaly... not my usual style, but after a bunch of Veronica Mars episodes, I was in tv-love.

I was watching Gilmore Girls reruns today and I love love LOVE the scarf that Lane is wearing in the episode In the Clamor and the Clangor. The white bits look like faux fur and the blue and brown look like suede, maybe? I don't know, but I want to recreate it somehow and dont' know how! Sew little patches on a strip of faux fur? Find a Crochet Master to copy the color/pattern? Or maybe find a store that sells it!

Any suggestions on how to recreate? (sorry if you can't see the detail very well. It's the best shot I could find...)

(edited after spinning!) It's 100% wool from a Banana Republic sweater, and I tried to spin it into a thinner yarn. This is my first time spinning.

wool yarn close up

Too chunky and boring to use as is... but worth the trouble to re-spin? Worth a try at spinning, at least...

should I leave it like that or put stripes on the sides too? or...extend the stripes to the edges and stop?

also...i can't put nails and stuff in the walls to hang it. what do I do with this?

I haven't posted in a LONG time. I haven't done much besides work and worry in a long time either. :) I HAVE been crafting, though!

I've been having a small problem of sorts. I decided to make a soda tab belt usin this method I found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=33593.0;all

Anyway, I decided on gold and black fabric ribbon. The black is fine but the gold is fraying at the ends. Is there a way I can reinforce this since the gold is more of a shiny metallic fabric than it is plain fabric? I was thinking reinforcing the ends with fabric or leather since the frayng will be a problem over time since this is a tie-on belt...but what stitch?...or is there a better way?
