now my question is.. how would i go about making cat dishes for her? should i just buy some plain ones and spruce them up.??. or could i in some crazy way make the whole "dish" would it be hard? some sort of mosaic kinda thing... any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

I found this article but I need a little more help.
http://beadwork.about.com/library/weekly/aa081400a.htm

I'm going to make a toe ring for my mom like the one she lost recently. I'm using stretch magic and have had trouble with a bracelets knot coming undone before. I don't want to spend the money on a bead crimper if I'm only going to do this once (very likely). So of the things mentioned what works best for you? Thanks in advance!

Okay, I recently saw the 2 posts in this community on perler beads which motivated me.(They were absolutely wonderful by the way!) I have tons of these perler beads but...I don't seem to have any of the paper stuff that always came with them to aid in sealing them together.

What can I use as a replacement since I don't think it is usually or ever sold separately?

I have been busy crafting away in my newly cleaned basement and sewing away on my 10 dollar sewing machine from the local Goodwill. It is amazing how good you feel when you are just making things for the sake of making them!

I got this fabric from a yard sale for one dollar, it's 100% wool and had some old fashioned label on it that said, "Take me to your tailor!" You know it is old. I thought it was really pretty so I covered a yard sale ottoman ($2)

Hope this is allowed. I made a facebook community for crafters called I made something super cool today. It's only just been created so it has me as a member and one pic but I would love if anyone with a facebook account who has cool crafting pictures would join.

I'm excited about fall, so I made this last night.

It holds ID cards perfectly, but I also made it so it'd hold cash and such. At first I was using a dark brown thread for the outside details, and red for the bobbin, but the brown was too dark and I loved the red, so I flipped it around. I was gonna line it, but I like how it looks on the inside.

I did all of the stitching/detailing on the leaf with a sewing machine, it's all in one go, and double stitched. (I started from one end, went up and traced my way back down...). I was nervous that I wasn't overlapping, but I also have fun doing the detailing.

Ok, so here it is:

I made these booties for my boyfriend's sister's baby twins, Sharayah and Danika.  I thought the girls needed some rock star gear, and this is what I came up with.

They are made with zebra and teal felt, and tied with a big satin ribbon.  Completely impractical for babywear, but they're fun!  :D

I'm not sure if this post is allowed or not. If it isn't just delete it.

Thanks to all of you who made suggestions on the materials to use. I decided to go with the Crayola Model Magic. I used two bags of white. Molded the wings/veggies and let them dry for 24 hours. Then I painted in burnt umber acrylic and added mod podge for gloss. I glued them onto an orange plastic plate I got from the thrift store for 29 cents. And drilled two holes to tie my elastic to..makes it easier to just wear the plate then actually carry it.

For those missed my original post...I made this to go with my friend's Halloween costume. She's going as a Hooters girl. She's going to get one of their menus laminated and carry it around with her along with this plate of their famous hot wings :)
