I've recently gotten into soap making. I made a batch of coconut milk soap about two months ago, and it turned a dark pink color (it was originally very white), and so I threw it away. How long does soap usually last, and what kind of preservatives could I put into the next batch to help it not change colors or the coconut milk go bad?

This is a theater for hand puppets I made for a friends kindergarten. I hope they´ll like it.
You just put it in the door frame and the show can begin. The "weather" has velcro and can be changed easily - I still want to make some
stars, a moon and dark clouds.

Does anyone have any idea how to go about making these types of charms?

Does anyone know if you can use newborn clothing patterns to sew clothing for the 23" My Twinn doll?

I've been part of this community for quite a while and, though I've commented on others' posts, I haven't made a post of my own. I've been making a ton of jewelry lately, however, so I figured it was about time to show something.

Thanks for looking!

I finished my Halloween costume last night and I'm pretty excited that it came out so well since it's the first time in over ten years that I've made anything using a pattern, and even then it was a stuffed animal that came out looking a little wonky.

My husband is going as Mario and I'm going as Princess Peach. I don't have my wig or gloves yet but I'm too excited about the dress to wait.

Yay for Halloween )

Saw a couple of cute elephants around the interwebs and decided to make my own. And then I got slightly fanatical and made three (and am working on a fourth). They (and all the stuffies I make) are named after my English reading list (George Elliot and Sylvia Plath).

Potentially cross-posted. Not sure yet. Probably.

Here is a little art piece that I made from thrifted playing cards from old games like "The House That Jack Built" and "Old Maid."
