Freedom of pattern trade?

For everyone in this group who does any kind of stitchery, I started a community called The Pattern Pirates. It's all about trading and posting links to patterns. I chose to tell you guys about this because I love watching all the crafts you all produce, but I wondered if there was anyone on here besides me who knits, crochets, etc and wanted easier access to some fun patterns ^_^. Please let me know what you think.

I want shoes like these. Especially the turquoise ones, really really badly.

I know you guys are geniuses so any help would be appreciated!
I think I'll be taking inspiration from this post but I'm hesitant on removing the original fabric.

In case you need to know, nope I don't have a sewing machine or a glue gun. I use UHU glue all the time. I can't knit/crochet (saying this because the shoes look knitty). And um sorry haven't had the time to be crafty so no photos of own work to make this post legal ):

I made my dress in one day. I also made the crown and Mario's hat out of foam. But we just when to one of those farm stores and bought his clothes for his costume.

Does anyone know if those Victorian silhouette portraits have a specific name? I'm trying to google them for a project. Stuff like this, this, this, or this.

Thanks!

[edit] please note the sarcasm...
sorry my face was an eyesore.

This was my very first time at attempting to reconstruct clothing. I think I did a fine job! I love the colors of this, and the way the lining of the hood looks when I put it up. I love the patches my boyfriend put on it too!

I had so much fun doing this, I'm going to do another this week. I need to find pink sleeves, since the dress I'm going to use is pink.
Good thing I live in Portland, Oregon and there are free piles all over this city. :D

hope you like it!!!

I'm trying very hard to be productive but with a visitor it's not as easy as I'd like it to be. Oh well.

Hi :) I've been a lurker for several weeks and finally I managed to get something crafty done.

I recently got my first BJD (eeeeeeeeeee!) but the clothes she came with were knitted and just too heavy for such a delicate frame. So I broke out my needle and thread to create something a little more suitable.

Bearing in mind this is the first time I've had to sew anything other than to mend my boyfriend's clothes! :)

For Halloween, I'm dressing as an enormous sexy carrot (I finished my costume last week- it looks fantastic, and I'll be sure to take pictures ) and my boyfriend is going to be a very low-key bunny (ear headband, pin-on tail, white shirt, face paint.) I've got the ears covered, but I'm at a total loss for the cottontail. I have some white fleece left over, so I suppose I could sew a sphere (6 curved slices sewn together and stuffed), or, if I managed to get a hold of some white yarn (there's nowhere to buy yarn in Davis, it's absurd) made a giant pom-pom...

Can anyone help me come up with alternate solution? Share the bunny knowledge.

I'm back!

I couldn't post anything for months because of a broken camera. But now I'm coming back, showing off everything I made. Not in chronological order, I do not remember what was made when.

Made for a friend's birthday - cheap t-shirt, and far too much embroidery effort!
I traced onto tracing paper, sewed THROUGH it to get outline, tore off paper then stem-stitched.

It's a quote from the side of Barricade, the police-car from Transformers the Movie ;)
