i just bought a new hole punch system from The Contenti Company. i adore it. it is simple for my smaller findings/sheet metal findings that i make. i will purchase from the company again. i like that they have a full line of pro tools and they are pretty cheap on prices. affordable so to speak for a self-employed crafter/artist.

my next plan of action will be buying a actual disk cutter and a dapper, plus i am dying to get into art clay. (which will be wait until we move to hawaii). anywho...just wanted to pass the crafty info on...

This project seemed like it took me a thousand and five years to finish. There are so many pockets to sew! Hopefully, the boyfriend will like and use it!

But...it's great because it has so many pockets :) One for magazines, a CD, eyeglasses, pens, ipod, and a miscellaneous small and large pocket.

I'm trying to figure out how professional jewelers suspend beads on an invisible string without the use of crimp beads or spacers... it's those multi layered necklaces with just a few pretty beads held in place.

I doubt that it's something like glue because over time that would fade and I really want this to be as professional as possible.

Any other professional tips are welcomed. We have silver chain and little connector rings and this weekend I want to show my daughter how to make beautiful pieces of jewelry. She has the earring fixtures and probably everything she could ever need down to the tiger wire and invisible stretch string.

Her big hurdle right now is finishing pieces off and also making them the right length... what is a really good length for a necklace? I tried measuring but it's hard to determine for an adult. Her ideal situation is to sell these online and donate the profits.

Here is an example of what I"m talking about:

Does anyone know where I can find a quality button maker for a cheap price..as in no more than 50 or 60 dollars?

I've checked out ebay and amazon, and so far I've found nothing in this price range...maybe such a button maker doesn't exist...

If you know where I can find one, though, please do let me know.

So the chocolate boxes of Ferror Rocher I received for Valentine's Day have inspired me to be crafty!

The gold tin foil wrapping of the Ferrero Rocher chocolates is a great material that I really want to work with to make an outfit for my school's fashion show. Does anybody know where I can purchase sheets of this gold tin foil, or anything similar? Would it be available at Michael's or Wal-mart even? If not, I guess I'll have to stick to buying more boxes of Ferrero Rocher. :) Thanks!

Edit: Also found this youtube tutorial on how to make roses out of the gold tin wrappers!

I read about making a duct tape dressform a few years ago but couldn't find the tutorial again so I just winged it. I couldn't find a longer shirt so it only goes to about my tailbone.

I've named her Xena! XD

Dear Craftlings,

I haven't posted here in a thousand years, but I really need your help! My lovey husband got me, gloriously, a PG-11 Print Gocco for Valentine's Day. I've wanted one for so long! They're so COOL!

PRINT GOCCO. Eeek! I have so many questions!

+Can you use regular acrylic Speedball ink?
+Where do you get bulbs and screens for the best price?

Okay, so I have two questions. Please answer them! HELP HELP!

And just so this isn't boring, here's a pouch I made a long time ago:

Thank you thank you!

I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day really.
(Despite the fact that it's my b-day.)

But I did REALLY enjoy making these for son, Matty and his classmates. (and teachers!)

Hey gals! Teeny-tiny questions post here. There's an honors photography class that would actually fill some requirements for me, but "Students must provide a digital camera with lens, shutter, aperture and focus controls, with a minimum 4 Mega pixel capacity, and 512 memory card. No disposable and/or fixed focus cameras." Could any photographers here show me the kind this is talking about? Or estimate the cost of getting one? If it's not that high, I can just consider it part of my class supplies budget, but I don't know how costly of a camera I can justify to myself.

Hi all. I gots a question-

My boyfriend got me a rose with some baby's breath for Valentines day and I want to be able to keep it forever. I was hoping to do something a little nicer with it then just smush it and put it under glass.

Do any of you have any creative ideas of how I can save it? I dont MIND pressing and framing it...I just dont want it to be a typical flattened flower in the middle of a boring frame, yanno?

My parents' 40th wedding anniversary is coming up, and my siblings and I sent out a letter at the end of last year to family and friends requesting that they write "Happy Anniversary" letters to my parents. My brother wanted to compile them all into a bound book (like college students do with their research projects). Although I had hoped we'd go for more of a "scrapbook" feel, I went along with his idea because I was just excited he wanted to help at all! Anyway, although most people did write their letters on "normal"-sized plain paper, some sent greeting cards instead. I started scanning the cards tonight, but really don't like how they look. A few people also sent pictures, and I was thinking we could leave some blank pages in the bound book where we could put the actual pictures (rather than scan them in). Is there a similar manner in which we can put the actual cards in the book rather than scan them in?

In payment for your answers, here's what I did with the cards from my wedding )
