I haven't posted here in ages... but I'm finally back to being crafty so I thought I would share! I've been playing with yarn and paper and I have three good examples to show you...

Eds vday gift

Here's the gift I made for my husband this year. I used a baby food jar that my sister left at my house and the fishy is made out of felt with embroidered details and mini pompom eyes. He loved it!

I'm not even gonna lie and claim to have made up this poem (got it from a ThinkGeek.com tshirt), but will go ahead and say I think this is awesome.

Applique shirt and a hot dog bag )

I need some honest opinions on these, I need to know where I need to make improvements. Mostly I'm just glad to get these finished. Next, the ice cream bag!

A few months ago I stole (with his permission, so not truly stealing I guess) a pile of t-shirts that my boyfriend doesn't wear much anymore. He was aware that they were intended for a quilt, but he doesn't know is that I've been working on it secretly to give to him for our 5 year anniversary a week today.

Pics and more info under here! )

I'm a leader on a retreat that my school is putting on, and we haven't gotten a lot of response out of the other students, so we decided that we wanted to make buttons or something just to promote the whole thing. Heres where I need your guys' help- I was handed the task because I'm pretty artistic and crafty. I have no clue what to do since I don't own a button maker! I was thinking about maybe using felt, but that could be too tedious because I will have to make around 30. Any ideas for what I can do?

Companion cube of woot. )

Made from this pattern. I might post a tutorial at some stage, because the one on that site is pretty much non existant.

YIKES.

First attempt at anything plushy-related. I made really complex victorian-style teddy bears when I was younger, but this is the first "fun" plush thing I've done. Just kind of...happened. Good thing my mom's into the weird.

Named him Creedence, & he measures about 8 or 9 inches high.

[EDIT] Sorry if the picture came out giant when you loaded your page!! I didn't realize it was so big on PhotoBucket. It's been resized & should update shortly.
