I've been hunting all morning for an owl plush pattern that I've been seeing EVERYWHERE.

Apparently it's from a Japanese Craft Book ISBN# 4834762238

http://craftjuice.wordpress.com/2007/09/09/isbn-4834762238/

That's a link to the book and those are the owls! I love them SO much. The pattern was posted at one point on Craftster.org. And theres 5 or 6 people selling them on Etsy as well...they are just so adorable!

If anyone can point me towards the book, the pattern, or a similar pattern, I'd love it!

TY!

Hi!

Awhile back I posted my hand painted altar and talked about starting a pagan craft community.

A few of you were interested so I finally got around to it!

I just posted my scrying mirror tutorial over there too :)

I'm making a soft toy robot (from Wee Wonderfuls) for a friend and I'd love to put a sound box inside it so that it makes a robot noise when you squeeze it (any mechanical or beeping noise would do!). You can get all sorts of noise/sound boxes at places like Build-A-Bear, but I can't for the life of me think where I'd get a robot-like one.

Can anyone help me out? I'm in the UK so websites would be great.

Thanks so much!

hi everybody
i think im in a pickle.

for christmas, my best friend got me 2 pairs of the CUTEST shoes, the problem is they are both too big. one is made of canvas, and the other is some sort of stiff fabric with sequins sewn all over it. theyre size 11, and i wear a 9.5 or a 10. theyre too much too big that i cant wear them.

normally, id just return them and get the right size, but when i went to old navy to return them, i didnt realize that i needed to have her employee number (yes, she works there) to do a return/exchange. i dont want her to know they dont fit, and i cant just be like "so whats your employee number huh?" because since she works there, she knows what i'd want it for.

do yall have any ideas on ways to shrink them/put inserts in the toe/ANYTHING to make them fit? i really like them i just cant wear them... :(

any ideas would be helpful, from one shoe-loving girl to another!

also: the canvas ones i already washed and dried in an attempt to shrink them, and they did a little bit but theyre still too big to wear. i didnt try with the sequined ones though.

About a week ago I made a post about making buttons. Someone suggested our school might have a button maker, and after a few days of searching we found one in the elementary building (we have a elem, middle, and high school all on one campus). Now the problem is, we cant find buttons for it. The machine is called a bade-a-matic II, and we don't know what size it is. We've been to michaels and ace, along with a few other craft stores, and all they have are the snap buttons which would be way too expansive because we have a lot to make. So my question is, where do I find button shells online or in stores that aren't extremely expensive. If its online, the place would have to have fast shipping because we need them as soon as possible!

thanks in advance

I've been making Pullip Jewellery like crazy lately! :) I usually use Peyote or Square Stitch with Delica and Miyuki seedbeads size 11/0 or 10/0. I've also started experimenting with size 15/0. The smaller the better :)

+ a couple more )

More pictures in my journal!

I'm working with some black vinyl for a bustle (the kind of vinyl with a fabric-type back for costumes and such) and I need to mark the right (shiny) side of the fabric to make some pleats. Should i use wax based marking paper? Or should i buy a fine line silver sharpie? Or would i just be better off marking the wrong side and trying to make the pleats from the reverse side? thank you SO much!

heres a link to the pattern I'm using to make my bustle: http://www.lafnmoon.com/saloon_girl.htm

ill post pictures when im all done! thanks again!

Here's the visual journal page I did today. The left side was the cardboard backing of a camera from the dollar store that I attached to the page tab. The cardboard page is smaller than the rest, so you can see the page underneath it peeking through.
