Does anyone have a good purse tutorial they've used/can recommend? I need something super sturdy, can be made into a shoulder bag, and big but not huge. Instrutables has failed me. :(

Hand made book by me - 20 pages of plain paper, the cover is of card, pink felt and white lace. The main part of the book is A5 size though the lace edge extends over that.  Made to use up odds and ends in my sewing box. (Pink and frilly is totally NOT my cup-of-tea, but with theatre/ re-enacting/ etc I am sure a use will be found for it)

It's a day off today again!

Was at the mall when I spotted a cute camera case that I wanted to get for my new Canon... however, I thought about it and decided I should save some moo-lah and make myself one. After all, I have batting left over from making all those Christmas coasters...

So when I got home, i found two perfectly sized scrap fabric and started to envision how i should go about making it. I decided that two layers of batting would make a better shock absorbent case, but would be challenging as I'll have to use the quilting walking foot for that thickness. Nevertheless i tried it out.

My ultra-shock-absorbent camera case! )
