So I made this pretty thing the other day.

I got an awesome new pair of scissors, yesterday (razor sharp, really comfy spring loaded handles, and normally cost $30, but I had a 50% off coupon! =D), but for some mysterious reason the handles smell sort of mildewy and the smell comes off on my hands. How can I get rid of the smell? Would washing the scissors work? I just don't want to damage them, or anything. =/

I've been wanting a cool messenger bag for a long time, and a couple years ago my now-husband bought me a plain canvas bag to do with as I wished. Here are the results.

Long time without looking or posting here because I have been stupidly busy. However I've just finished university in contempary textiles and thought I'd share my finals. I made 3 body sculptures (wearable art) inspired by the ephemeral act of fire. Looking at the sublime (the beauty but the inherent danger in fire) I have used soft felt against hard wire to get the beauty, but also the wire as the proection, the 'armour' . All the wool is hand washed, dyed, wet felted, dry felted, beaded, hand embroidery, hand knitted wire, all designed and made by myself. If you have any questions or comments (hopefully good) please give a shout :)

lots of pictures :) ! )

Hi all! Just wanted to show you my latest project. I recently got a great book called Inspired Remnants, Curious Dreams that has tons of great ideas for how to use epoxy clay. I decided to give it a shot and here's the results of my first attempt using it. I have to say I love how flexible the clay is and how well it holds it's shape.

Brooch made from epoxy clay and pewter.
