Whoever my Santa was, sorry but I never received your package :(

The USPS lost it and are trying to find it right now. I got a slip from Saturday saying to pick it up as the USPS office on the 27th, well I went there and they said it was out for delivery. I checked the tracking last night after not receiving anything and it said it was delivered. Checked my apartment office, checked the post office, can't find it :(   They're going to check the route person tomorrow and get back with me.

So sorry!

May be somebody remembers, couple weeks ago I posted a picture of bed cover made from furniture store fabric sample books. Well, now the pillows are done. Only the right side is from the "books" the back is just some cotton with matching color.

I've never made a paperweight before so I need a little help. I was going to make my friend a paperweight as an inside joke/"thinking of you" gift, but I have no clue whatsoever what to make it out of. I know it'll be round a sphere in shape though, and someone I know suggested some sort of recycled steel scraps. However, I wouldn't even know how to go about working with such a material.

What medium do you suggest would be "simple" (& relatively inexpensive) to make a paperweight?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

ETA: Sorry, meant to say I intend for it to be a SPHERE.

My 16-month-old niece likes 'helping' my sister in the kitchen so I made them matching aprons and a little chef hat for Eva, my niece.
